This Christmas (I'll burn it to the ground)
Merry Christmas to all of those who love Zombies, Kpop, and MTG as much as I do. (I have been playing to much Dead Island 2) Here's hoping I can pull it all together.
I finally made it to the guesthouse, my boots crunching against the gravel as I pushed the door open. Relief swept over me for a fleeting momentâuntil I realized I wasnât alone.
There was someone already there, and she was changing.
The soft rustle of fabric froze me in my tracks. She turned sharply, startled, and our eyes locked. Her wide, expressive eyesâbig and doelikeâstruck me like a thunderbolt. There was something in them, a blend of innocence and unspoken intensity, that made my heart stutter. A weird mix of emotions bubbled upâguilt, curiosity, and something warmer that I couldnât name but tried to smother immediately.
She was standing there, clad only in a simple bra and panties, her cheeks flushing as my presence registered.
âIâuhââ I stammered, tearing my gaze away as quickly as I could. My hand shot up to shield my face. âVenus told me to come here to cool off. Iâm not trying to do anything⊠improper,â I managed to say, my voice more strained than I liked.
There was a moment of silence, broken only by her shaky, âOkay.â
I backed into the doorway of the next room, needing to give her space and myself some time to calm my racing thoughts. The guesthouse smelled faintly of lavender and wood polish, a strange comfort in the chaotic world we were surviving in. But any solace was shattered when I saw movement at the barbed fence outside.
A zombie was clawing its way through, its grotesque face contorted in hunger. With a sigh, I unsheathed my dagger and slipped out. With a quick slash, the dull squelch of the blade met decayed flesh, and it was over. Cleaning the dagger on the zombieâs tattered shirt, I slipped back inside, shaking off the tension.
The girl was still there.
She had finished changing, now wearing one of Venusâs sundresses. It fit her perfectly, the soft fabric draping over her in a way that felt⊠natural and unfairly captivating. For a moment, I forgot what I was doing, but I quickly bit my tongue. The last thing I wanted was to make her uncomfortable.
She was watching me, her expression thoughtful, almost calculating. There was no trace of the earlier shynessâjust a quiet confidence that seemed to radiate from her now.
âYouâre Dinozen, right?â she asked, her voice steady but with a hint of curiosity.
I nodded hesitantly. âYeah. Thatâs me.â
She broke into a smile, her lips curling into a smirk that sent an odd shiver down my spine. âIâve heard stories about you. A slayer from Hel-La with a heart of gold.â Her tone was teasing, but there was something sharper beneath it. âI didnât expect you to be so⊠mundane,â she added, her smirk growing.
Her teasing caught me off guard, and I blinked, unsure how to respond. Just like that, the power dynamic shifted.
She stepped closer, her eyes glinting with amusementâand something more. She extended her hand, her movements fluid and deliberate. âIâm Chowon.â
I hesitated for a moment before taking her hand, but instead of shaking it, I pressed my lips to the back of it, the gesture more instinctive than calculated.
Her smile widened, clearly pleased. âOh,â she said, her voice low and a touch amused, âa ruthless gentleman. I like it.â
There was a spark in her eyes now, one that hinted at danger, playfulness, and intrigue all at once.
Chowon corners me, her lithe fingers brushing against my jawline with an almost teasing delicacy. The sensation sends a spark through me, subtle but undeniable. Before I can react, we tumble onto the couch together. Her movements are graceful, deliberate, and unrelenting as she straddles me, settling herself on top with a kind of predatory poise.
Her lips curve into a mischievous smile. âSo, why do they call you Dinozen?â she asks, her voice low and sultry. âBecause I donât actually think thatâs your name.â
Our eyes lock, her gaze playful yet searching, and I feel a sudden weight in the air between us. She bats those impossibly long lashes, weaponizing her doe-like eyes with a kind of innocent cruelty. I know I should deflect or say something clever, but I canât. Iâm too drawn in.
I swallow hard before answering. âPeople like to say Iâm like an apex predatorâinstinctually at the top of the food chain, basking in its state of zen,â I explain, my voice low, barely audible. âMy love of dinosaurs made the nickname stick. So⊠Dinozen.â
Her smile deepens, her teeth catching the faint light. Itâs the kind of smile thatâs both knowing and inviting. She leans in, closer now, her breath brushing against my lips, and I catch the faint scent of gooseberries and lilac. The fragrance is intoxicating, too perfect to be real, as if sheâs wrapped herself in some kind of spell.
But then I see itâa faint bite mark on her shoulder, just peeking out from the neckline of her dress. My gaze lingers for a second too long. She notices, of course. Chowonâs eyes follow mine, and when she meets my gaze again, sheâs smiling.
âOh, you figured it out,â she murmurs, her voice a mix of pride and challenge. âYes, Iâm a slayer like you.â
I blink, taken aback.
She leans closer, her lips brushing against my ear as she whispers, âI was reborn helping my girls get out of New York when the zombies came.â
Her words are heavy, laced with memories and something deeper. A hunger begins to build between us, a feeling I canât quite name but canât ignore. Itâs electric, primal, and utterly overwhelming. She closes the distance between us, our faces now inches apart.
âAre you in a state of zen?â she whispers, her breath warm and soft against my skin.
Her words feel like a spell. My eyes flutter shut for a moment, and when I open them again, itâs as if something inside me has been unlocked. Or unchained.
I feel itâthe shift.
The part of me Iâve spent so long burying, controlling, suppressingâit rises to the surface, clawing its way free. Imperio Rex. The name feels like fire in my blood, and as it takes hold, my entire perspective changes. My focus shifts from protecting, from doing right, to simply taking what I want.
And what I want is sitting right in front of me in that flirty sundress, her body close enough to touch, her lips almost brushing mine.
Chowon doesnât flinch. If anything, she leans in, her breathing hitching slightly as her eyes glint with something darker, something wilder. Itâs as if she welcomes this shift, as if sheâs been waiting for it.
âThatâs not the gaze of a hero,â she teases, her voice soft but sharp, a taunt wrapped in velvet.
Her words only fuel the fire inside me. My gaze roams over her, drinking her in. Her figure is exquisite, every curve and line a masterpiece of temptation, but itâs her eyes that hold me. The softness, the doe-like innocenceâgone. What stares back at me now is the gaze of a lioness, her hunger matching my own.
Two predators, circling.
Neither of us speaks. The air between us crackles, charged with tension and unspoken desires. Whatever happens next, it feels inevitable, like a collision neither of us can stopâor wants to.
Hereâs an expanded and detailed version of your scene, adding more depth to the emotions, tension, and connection between Dinozen and Chowon:
Chowon moved first, closing the space between us in a heartbeat. Her lips crashed against mine, fierce and deliberate, like she had decided the moment and wasnât going to let it slip away. The kiss wasnât gentleâit was raw, electric, and unrelenting.
And then, I felt it.
It wasnât just a kiss. It was something deeper, more profound. Our energies shifted, intertwining in a way that left me reeling. For the first time in my life, I felt seen. I felt reciprocation.
Her soul was a mirror of my ownâa churning storm of anger and loneliness, a fire that refused to be extinguished. I felt it all: her hunger for mayhem, the thrill of violence, and the exhaustion from constantly holding back for people who expected so much, demanded so much, without ever asking what we needed in return.
It was a soul as bruised and battered as mine.
When she pulled away, her lips just inches from mine, her breathing uneven, she searched my face with those predatory eyes. âHow were you reborn?â she asked, her voice low and steady, a sharp contrast to the chaotic energy between us.
I hesitated, the memory of that moment clawing its way to the surface. âI was saving my dad from a zombie,â I said, my voice tinged with bitterness. âI got bitten⊠and when the chaos hit, my family left me during their escape.â
The words came out heavier than I expected, dragging old wounds into the light. I could feel my anger rising, simmering alongside something darker, something hungrier.
Chowonâs breath hitched, her heart rate spikingâI could hear it, feel it. Without a word, she pulled me into another kiss. This one was differentâjust as hungry but tinged with something else, a silent acknowledgment of the anger, the pain, and the raw, unfiltered truth we shared.
When we finally broke apart, her gaze locked onto mine, fierce and unyielding. There was no teasing now, no coy smile. Just a woman who saw all of me and wasnât afraid.
âAlways the hero,â she said, her voice a husky whisper. âWell then⊠tonight, donât play the role. Be who you are.â
Her words hit me like a jolt, cutting straight through the layers of control I had spent so long building. There was no judgment in her tone, no expectation. Just an invitation. A challenge.
I didnât answer, not with words. Instead, I let the mask slip. I let the carefully constructed image of Dinozen fall away, piece by piece, until only the raw, unfiltered truth of who I was remained.
And she welcomed it.
For the first time, I felt no need to hold back. No reason to hide. No fear of being too much, too intense, too broken.
Chowon didnât flinch. If anything, she leaned in closer, her presence steady and unyielding. In that moment, I realized we werenât just kindred spiritsâwe were two sides of the same coin, drawn together by the weight of what weâd endured and the unshakable hunger to embrace what we truly were.
Whatever came next, it wouldnât be quiet. It wouldnât be safe. But it would be real, but before we could do anything we heard more growls of zombies encircling the party. Chowon and I get up from the couch before slipping out of the guest house
The guesthouse door creaked as we both stepped outside, the cool night air crackling with the distant groans of the undead. The swarm had breached the perimeterâa mistake they wouldnât live long enough to regret.
Chowon twirled her machete lazily in one hand, the moonlight glinting off the blade. She gave me a look, her smile sharp and playful. âYou ready to let loose?â
My dagger felt steady in my hand, but my heart pounded for an entirely different reason as I met her gaze. âI think youâve got more to prove than me,â I shot back, grinning despite myself. As we walk over the zombie I had previously slain.
She laughed, a sound both sweet and unnerving. âLetâs see who makes the bigger mess.â
Then the first zombie stumbled into view, and all hell broke loose.
We moved like a deadly symphony, two parts of the same chaotic whole. Chowon darted forward, her blade slicing through rotted flesh with precision. Her movements were graceful, almost balletic, as if every kill were a carefully choreographed dance.
I wasnât as elegant. I was raw power, using my knife and my fists when needed, each strike fueled by a deep well of frustration and hunger. The undead fell in heaps around me, but every now and then, I caught a glimpse of Chowonâher lithe figure spinning and twisting, her sundress smeared with blood but her expression radiant, alive.
The horde was relentless, but we were more so.
At one point, we ended up back-to-back, surrounded. Her voice was low, teasing, even as she hacked through another zombie. âStill feeling zen, Dinozen?â
I couldnât help the grin that spread across my face. âMore like⊠alive,â I admitted, plunging my blade into another corpse.
Her laugh rang out again, wild and unrestrained. âI love it.â
As the swarm thinned, something shifted between us. We werenât just fighting anymore; we were feeding off each otherâs energy. Every shared glance, every brush of her arm against mine as we moved, heightened the tension between us.
Blood streaked her face, her doe-like eyes now alight with something feral. She caught me staring and smirked, slicing through a zombie with a flourish before turning to me. âWhat, admiring my form?â
I wiped sweat and blood from my brow, unable to resist the way my lips quirked upward. âItâs decent,â I teased, though my voice betrayed how much more I thought.
She stepped closer, her chest rising and falling as we stood amid the carnage. Her machete dangled loosely at her side, forgotten for a moment as her eyes locked onto mine. âDecent?â she repeated, her voice a whisper now, tinged with mock offense.
âBetter than decent,â I admitted, my voice rough from exertion.
Her lips curved into a genuine smileâone that made the world around us fade, if only for a moment. We head back to the guesthouse our bodies electric as we can't deny the attraction we felt anymore.
I tear off that sundress that hides her delicious curves and I tear off the lingerie that hides her from me. She did the same and as we stood bare before each other she pounced on me. Her hands claw into my back but I donât feel pain only invigorated She claims me with another bit on my other shoulder further linking us now both virally and emotionally I follow suit and bite her other shoulder. Our bite marks now creating mirror pairs, but now I need her carnally I see her eyes yelling âtake me make me yours!â So I do just that. I violently thrust my cock inside her. Chowon moans as her insides welcome me. I fit perfectly inside of her, something she makes very clear by saying
âOh fuck your cock. Itâs so good.â I smile and begin to suck on her massive tits. She moans out as I thrust and suck on her tits like a man dying of thirst. Chowon coos as her body reacts violently. Her back arches towards me as I lightly nibble her nipple. She grabs my face and brings me in for another kiss. Fire runs through both of veins as we copulate. I continue thrusting into her and she continues fucking herself on my cock. our moans echo throughout the room as we desperately mate. I feel Chowon's walls clench around me as if to milk me and it works i spew cum into her womb like a volcano, uncontrolled and violent. She moans as her orgasm hits soon after. she smiles then says,
"Fuck!" her eyes narrow and she says "you are mine and I am yours." I nod as our vision goes black before we pass out.
The sun peeked over the horizon, casting a golden glow over the remains of last nightâs chaos. The yard outside the guesthouse was a battlefieldâa mosaic of dismembered zombies and smeared gore, with the unmistakable stench of death hanging thick in the air.
Venus, the hostess of the party, stepped outside cautiously, still rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She froze mid-step as she took in the carnage. Around her, other survivors began to stir, their sleepy murmurs turning to gasps of horror and confusion as they joined her on the porch.
"What the hell happened here?" Donny asked, stepping outside and immediately covering his nose with his sleeve. His eyes widened as he surveyed the wreckage.
"Was there a raid? A bomb or something?" Haseul ventured, her voice trembling.
âNo,â Venus said slowly, pointing toward the barbed-wire fence. It was still intact, albeit stained with black blood. âNo breach. Whatever did this⊠was already inside.â
The group exchanged uneasy glances. They all knew the stakes of staying here, but no one had heard any alarms or screams during the night.
âLook at those slashes,â Donny's said, kneeling next to a fallen zombie. Its torso was nearly split in two, the edges of the wound clean and precise. âThis wasnât some lucky survivor swinging a baseball bat. This wasâŠâ He trailed off, unable to find the right words.
Venus crossed her arms, her brow furrowed. âA professional.â
âBut who? No one hereââ Donny's voice cut off as his gaze lifted toward the guesthouse.
The survivors followed his line of sight. The door to the guesthouse was slightly ajar, the faintest tendrils of smoke curling from a makeshift firepit just outside, where a few zombie skulls were charred black.
Inside the guesthouse, Chowon and I lay tangled together on the couch, both still wearing faint remnants of the nightâs battle on our skinâsmears of black blood on my jawline, a shallow cut on Chowonâs shoulder that had already begun to heal. The only wounds not healing were the bitemarks from our original infection and each other.
The room was warm with the morning light streaming in, highlighting their serene faces. Chowonâs head rested on my chest, her fingers loosely curled against mine. my arm was draped protectively around her, our breaths rising and falling in sync.
Raph pushed the door open wider, and Venus peered in behind him. The scene they found was at odds with the carnage outside.
âAre they⊠cuddling?â Raph whispered, dumbfounded.
Venus frowned. âThey didnât leave with the rest of us last night.â
âYou think they did all that?â Jihyo asked, jerking her thumb toward the yard.
Venus didnât answer. Her eyes flicked toward the bite marks on Chowonâs neck and the scratches on my arms. She noticed how our wounds seemed almost healed, despite being fresh hours ago. There was something unsettling about the stillness of our sleep, something off about the peace we exuded.
âWell, it sure as hell wasnât the wind,â Venus muttered, stepping back outside.
As the survivors gathered on the porch, hushed debates about what had happened swirled through the air. Meanwhile, in the guesthouse, my fingers twitched slightly, as if dreaming of the fight, my grip tightening around Chowon for a moment.
She stirred, smiling softly in her sleep, her voice barely audible as she murmured, âAlways the hero⊠even when youâre not trying.â
And the two apex predators, satiated and at peace, slept on.
Jonah stared at the pair on the couch, his jaw slack. âI donât⊠What am I even looking at right now?â
Venus crossed her arms, her brow furrowed as she studied Dinozenâs protective arm draped around Chowon. âYouâre looking at two people who somehow turned the yard into a zombie graveyard and then decided to take a nap.â
âTheyâre covered in blood,â one of the other partygoers whispered, their voice trembling.
âYeah, but⊠they look so normal,â Jonah said, shaking his head. âLike, Iâm half expecting them to wake up and ask if breakfast is ready.â
âThey werenât normal last night,â Venus said sharply, her eyes narrowing. âThey stayed behind when we all took cover. And now, this.â She gestured toward the carnage outside.
Another voice chimed in. âYouâre telling me those twoâjust the two of themâtook out all those zombies? Thatâs insane.â
âLook at the wounds on those things,â Jonah said, his tone grim. âClean cuts, precision kills. Whoever did that knew exactly what they were doing. That wasnât panic. That was⊠art.â
âArt?â Venus scoffed. âTry predation.â
The group fell silent, staring at the serene scene before them. Dinozen shifted slightly, murmuring something under his breath as Chowon nestled closer against him, her hand curling around the fabric of his shirt.
âThey look so peaceful,â someone said quietly.
âYeah,â Jonah replied. âLike wolves after a feast.â
Venus took a step forward, her boots creaking on the floorboards. âWhatever they are, theyâre not just survivors. Nobody walks out of a night like that without a scratch and sleeps like this.â Her voice dropped lower. âWe need to figure out who weâre dealing with. Because if theyâre on our side? Fine. But if theyâre notâŠâ
Jonah hesitated, glancing back at the open door. âWhat do you even do against people like that?â
Venus didnât answer. Instead, she stepped back outside, leaving the others to exchange uneasy glances.
I woke up slowly, the soft morning light filtering through the guesthouse window. For a moment, I didnât know where I was, my mind foggy from the chaos of the night before. But then I felt the warmth against me, the steady rise and fall of someone breathing, and it all came flooding back.
Chowon.
She was curled up against me, her head resting on my shoulder, her arm draped lazily across my chest. Her hair smelled faintly of lilac, with something sweeter I couldnât place. It was comforting, grounding me in the moment, even as everything else felt surreal.
Her eyes fluttered open, and when she met my gaze, a lazy, mischievous smile spread across her lips. âMorning, hero,â she said, her voice soft but carrying that teasing lilt I was starting to recognize.
I huffed a quiet laugh, rubbing a hand over my face. âNot sure âheroâ is the right word after last night.â
She stretched, her fingers brushing against my chest, sending a spark of something electric through me. âTrue,â she said, her smirk widening. âMaybe âbeastâ fits better.â There was something in her toneâpride, maybe, or amusement.
Before I could respond, a knock at the door startled both of us.
âHey, uh⊠are you two decent?â Jonahâs voice called from the other side, awkward and unsure.
Chowon raised an eyebrow at me, leaning in close to whisper, âDo we want to be?â
I gave her a look, shaking my head despite the smirk pulling at my lips. âYeah,â I called out. âWeâre decent.â
The door creaked open, and Jonah stepped in, looking half-relieved and half-terrified. Behind him, Venus lingered in the doorway, her arms crossed and her gaze sharp as a blade.
âSoâŠâ Jihyo began, scratching the back of her head. âCrazy night, huh? Any chance you want to explain how you two managed to⊠you knowâŠâ She waved a hand toward the window, where the yard beyond lay strewn with carnage.
Chowon tilted her head, feigning innocence. âOh, did something happen?â
Jihyo just stared at her, clearly out of her depth. Venus stepped forward, cutting to the chase. âDonât play dumb,â she said coldly. âThe yard looks like a battlefield. And you twoâŠâ She gestured at us. âYou look like you didnât even break a sweat.â
I met her gaze evenly. âWe did what needed to be done,â I said. âYouâre welcome, by the way.â
Her eyes narrowed. âIâm not ungrateful. Iâm just not sure what to make of you two.â
Chowon her tattered clothes did little to hide her body and this tide of possessiveness raged within me with anger at how they looked at her. I caught Jonahâs eyes dropping to her shoulder before they shot back up, his face pale as a ghost. âUh⊠whatâs that?â
âWhatâs what?â Chowon asked, her voice all mock innocence.
Jihyo pointed, and my stomach tightened. Her bite scar.
âWait,â Venus said, her voice low and wary. âIs that⊠a bite mark?â
Chowon rolls her eyes dismissively, "you know we were both bitten already," she says her tone even hoping not to anger the rest of the group.
Venus eyes us and says, "Yeah we knew. about the other one but why do you have two now?
Sighing, I rolled up my sleeve, revealing the scar on my forearm. âYeah,â I said flatly. âWeâve been bitten.â
The room fell silent, everyone staring at us like weâd just sprouted fangs. Raph broke the silence, his voice shaky. âBut⊠youâre not⊠you didnât turn?â
Chowon smirked, glancing at me. âNope. Guess weâre special.â
âSpecial?â Venus repeated, her tone laced with suspicion. âOr infected differently? How do we know this doesnât mean something worse?â
âBecause weâre still here,â I said, my voice firm. âIf we werenât immune, youâd all be dead by now.â
Donny's eyes darted between us, his expression torn between awe and unease. âStill⊠somethingâs different about you two. Itâs not just the scars. You⊠feel different.â
I didnât have a good response for that, and neither did Chowon. She just shrugged, brushing past Venus with that same breezy confidence. âWell,â she said, âI donât know about you, but Iâm starving.â
I followed her toward the door, the rest of the group trailing behind us hesitantly. I could feel their eyes on the scars, like they were trying to piece together some unspoken truth.
As we stepped outside, the aftermath of the nightâs rampage hit me in full. Zombies torn apart, blood and gore staining the ground, and a mess of destruction that could only be described as primal.
Chowon and I walked through it like we belonged there, side by side, as if the carnage was some twisted monument to what weâd become.
Behind us, I heard Jihyo whisper, âTheyâre not just immune, are they?â
âNo,â Venus replied, her voice grim. âTheyâre something else.â
I glanced at Chowon, catching the faint smirk on her lips. Maybe Venus was right. Maybe we were something else..
I stepped out into the bright morning sunlight, stretching my arms wide as though shaking off the stiffness of sleep. My muscles ached, but it wasnât a bad acheâit was the satisfying kind, the reminder of a job well done. Beside me, Chowon followed, tying her hair back in a loose ponytail. Her steps were deliberate, calculated, but she carried herself with the kind of grace that seemed to melt away suspicion.
Venus and Jihyo were standing by the remains of the fire pit, poking at the charred logs with sticks, while Jonah and Donny scouted the edges of the yard. Raph sat perched on a broken log, flipping his knife over in his hands, his gaze shifting between us and the destruction.
The tension was still thick in the air, coiled tight like a spring, but I could feel it loosening the moment we appeared. The groupâs eyes darted to Chowon first, and then to me. I made a point of smilingâeasy, warm, the kind of smile that always worked to smooth over rough edges.
âMorning, everyone,â I called, forcing a yawn into my voice to make it seem like weâd just woken up. âLooks like we missed a hell of a night out here.â
Jihyo gave a dry laugh, her arms crossed. âYou can say that again.â
Chowon stepped forward, folding her hands in front of her like some picture of innocence. Her head tilted slightly, her expression soft but curious. âAre⊠are you all okay? No one got hurt, right?â Her voice was quiet, almost fragile, and I saw the way it disarmed them instantly.
Raph scoffed but didnât press. Donnyâs shoulders eased. Even Venus, who had been glaring daggers at us earlier, seemed to falter just a little.
âWeâre fine,â Jihyo said, her tone softer than before. âNo thanks to the circus act that went on out here.â She gestured vaguely to the carnage surrounding us.
I rubbed the back of my neck, letting out a sheepish chuckle. âYeah, about that. I guess things got⊠a little out of hand.â
âA little?â Venus muttered under her breath.
Chowon sighed, her gaze sweeping across the yard, her lips pressing into a thin line. âWe just⊠we wanted to make sure everyone was safe. Thatâs all.â Her tone carried just enough guilt to sound believable, as if she was genuinely ashamed of what weâd done.
I stepped in, my hand brushing lightly against her shoulder in what I hoped looked like reassurance. âWe had to make a choice. They were getting too close to the house. We couldnât risk it.â
The group exchanged glances, their unease cracking just a bit under the weight of my words.
âItâs justâŠâ Donny started, scratching the back of his head. âItâs just crazy how you two pulled that off.â
âLuck,â I said quickly, waving a hand. âWeâve had⊠practice.â
Chowon looked down, biting her lip like the very thought made her uncomfortable. âItâs not something I like doing,â she murmured. âBut I couldnât just⊠I mean, what if they got to you guys? What if someone got hurt?â Her voice cracked slightly, and that was the nail in the coffin.
Jihyoâs face softened, and she stepped forward, placing a hand on Chowonâs arm. âHey, you did what you had to do. I donât think anyoneâs blaming you for that.â
Chowon nodded, her expression a perfect mix of gratitude and humility, and I had to bite back the smirk threatening to pull at my lips.
âBesides,â I added, my voice light, âitâs over now. We can clean up, regroup, and figure out the next steps. No use dwelling on it, right?â
The group nodded, their focus shifting away from us and toward more practical concerns. The tension broke completely when Donny called out from the edge of the yard, waving a hand. âHey! I found a couple of intact water bottles over here!â
The moment their attention turned, Chowon glanced at me, her lips curling into the faintest hint of a smirk. Her eyes gleamed, just for a moment, with the same predatory hunger Iâd seen the night before. I mirrored it, my own mask slipping for just a second before I tightened it back into place.
The group didnât need to know what we really were. They didnât need to see the predators that had taken up residence inside us. Not yet.
For now, our masks were enough.
And for now, we were satisfied.
The caravan was loud with the sound of engines sputtering to life, the groan of doors swinging shut, and the rustle of last-minute supplies being stowed. I leaned against the side of one of the battered SUVs, watching the group finalize their preparations. Chowon stood a few feet away, tossing a bag into the back of her vehicle. Her hair caught the morning sun, a streak of gold against the drab gray of the world around us.
She glanced over at me, and for a moment, we shared a look. Her lips twitched upward in that lazy, knowing smirk of hersâthe one that always made something primal stir deep in my chest. My fingers flexed at my sides involuntarily, the urge to be near her gnawing at me. But then Nayoungâs voice cut through the moment like a jagged blade.
âUh⊠I was thinking,â she began, hesitantly, her voice just loud enough for everyone nearby to hear. âMaybe itâd be better if Chowon and Dino rode in separate cars. You know, just to⊠spread things out.â
The suggestion hung in the air, heavy and awkward. I felt the heat rise in my chest, the pulse of anger flashing through me. My jaw tightened. My fists curled at my sides. I wanted to snap, to tell her to mind her own business. Who was she to decide that I couldnât ride with my equalâmy mate? The thought of Chowon being apart from me, even for a short drive, felt wrong, like something vital being torn away.
But I couldnât show that. Not now. Not to them.
So, I forced a grin. âSure, Nayoung,â I said evenly, as if her words hadnât scraped against every nerve in my body. âWhatever makes everyone more comfortable.â
Her shoulders relaxed slightly, though she still didnât meet my eyes. âItâs just⊠you two seem, uh, close. And maybe some space would be goodâfor the group, I mean.â
Chowon, to her credit, didnât rise to the bait. She just raised an eyebrow and gave me a small shrug, like it was all a joke to her. âFine by me,â she said, her tone light but carrying that edge of amusement. âJust donât get too lonely without me, Dino.â
My lips quirked into a smirk that didnât quite reach my eyes. âIâll manage.â
Internally, though, the possessiveness burned. I hated that she was being shuffled off like we were some kind of threat, that Nayoungâor anyoneâthought they had the right to dictate where we stood. Weâd done more for this group in one night than most of them had done in weeks. And yet, here I was, swallowing my pride, because thatâs what the âheroâ would do.
Chowon climbed into the SUV without another word, her confidence radiating even as the door slammed shut. I turned to my assigned vehicle, forcing my feet to move even though every instinct screamed to follow her instead.
Venus stood near the driverâs seat, her sharp gaze tracking my every move. âYou okay with this?â she asked, her tone as neutral as she could manage, but her eyes betrayed her suspicion.
I shrugged, slipping into the seat next to her. âWhatâs there to be upset about?â I said, my voice smooth, practiced. âItâs just a car ride.â
She didnât reply, but her silence felt loaded, like she was waiting for something to slip.
As the caravan rolled out, the world outside blurred into a haze of trees and broken roads. I kept my eyes on the SUV ahead of us, knowing Chowon was inside. The thought of her alone, without me to watch her back, sent a low growl vibrating through my chest. I clenched my fists, forcing myself to focus on the rumble of the engine beneath me instead.
The predator inside me snarled, furious and restless. But I breathed through it, letting the mask settle back into place. For now, Iâd play the part. For now, Iâd keep the peace.
Because the truth was, Nayoung wasnât entirely wrong. Chowon and I togetherâuncheckedâwas something none of them were ready to face.
Not yet.
And maybe that was for the best.
For now.
I would find out later that Chowon felt the separation anxiety even more than I had.
The steady hum of the engine filled the car as Chowon sat quietly in the passenger seat, her eyes fixed on the road ahead. Nayoung was behind the wheel, her hands gripping it tightly, her knuckles pale from tension. She glanced sideways at Chowon every so often, the silence between them heavy and awkward.
âIâm glad weâre finally moving,â Nayoung said, her voice overly bright, like she was trying too hard to keep things light. âBeing stuck in one place felt⊠dangerous.â
Chowon nodded, offering a shy smile that didnât quite reach her eyes. âYeah, itâs good to get some distance,â she said softly. âSafety in numbers, right?â
Nayoung relaxed slightly, her grip on the wheel loosening just a bit. âExactly,â she said, though her voice still carried an edge of nervousness. âAnd, um⊠spreading everyone out for the ride made sense, too. Gives people some space.â
Her words made Chowonâs stomach churn. Space? From Dinozen? Her instincts roared against the idea, the predator inside her snarling at the separation. It was wrong, unnatural. She and Dinozen were a unit, two halves of a whole. Being apart from him felt like losing a part of herself.
But on the surface, Chowonâs expression didnât falter. She tilted her head slightly, her smile remaining soft and understanding. âOf course,â she said gently. âYouâre just looking out for everyone. Thatâs really thoughtful of you, Nayoung.â
Nayoung glanced at her, her expression easing a little at the words. âI just⊠Iâve seen how close you and Dinozen are, and I couldnât help but worry, you know? I mean, after last nightâŠâ
Chowon felt a flare of anger deep in her chest, sharp and hot. She kept her hands folded in her lap to hide the way her nails dug into her palms. Last night had been perfectâa primal, untamed connection between her and Dinozen. No one had the right to question it.
But she kept her voice light and her expression calm. âI get it,â she murmured, her tone tinged with bashfulness. âIt probably looked⊠intense. I didnât mean to scare anyone. Dinozen and I just⊠trust each other. Thatâs all.â
Nayoung glanced at her again, a hint of doubt in her eyes. âTrust, huh?â she said cautiously. âIt just seemed like⊠I donât know. Like you werenât even afraid. You and Dinozen⊠you acted likeââ
âLike what?â Chowon asked, her tone quiet but curious, encouraging Nayoung to continue.
Nayoung hesitated, her fingers tightening on the wheel again. âLike you werenât human,â she finally said.
Chowonâs chest tightened, and for a moment, she wanted to laugh. If only Nayoung knew how close to the truth she was. But instead, she lowered her gaze, letting a faint blush rise to her cheeks. âI guess you stop thinking about fear when people are counting on you,â she said softly.
Nayoung nodded slowly, though her grip on the wheel remained firm. âMaybe,â she said, her voice uncertain. âI just want to make sure everyoneâs okay. Including you and Dinozen.â
Her words were meant to reassure, but they only fueled the frustration simmering beneath Chowonâs calm exterior. She and Dinozen didnât need Nayoungâs concern. They were stronger than anyone else in the group. Stronger together.
But Chowonâs smile stayed in place, warm and disarming. âThanks, Nayoung,â she said, her voice gentle. âThat means a lot. Youâre a good leader, you know. Youâre always thinking about whatâs best for everyone.â
Nayoung blinked at the unexpected compliment, her cheeks flushing faintly. âOh, I donât know about that,â she said, her voice flustered. âI just⊠try my best.â
âAnd it shows,â Chowon said kindly. âWeâre lucky to have you.â
The rest of the ride passed in relative silence, Nayoung visibly relaxing while Chowonâs thoughts churned. Her gaze remained on the road ahead, but her mind was with Dinozen, riding in another vehicle somewhere behind them. The separation gnawed at her, an ache that only grew with each passing mile.
Her fingers curled into fists in her lap, her nails pressing into her skin as she fought to keep the frustration from surfacing. Let Nayoung think sheâd done the right thing. Let her believe Chowon was the shy, caring leader she wanted her to be.
For now, Chowon could wear the mask.
But when the time came, when she and Dinozen stood side by side again, nothingânot Nayoung, not the group, not even the worldâwould keep them apart.
Mikey and Chaehyunâs safe house was a welcome sightâtucked into a quiet, wooded clearing, with high fences and a sturdy-looking building that practically screamed, This place is safe, or as close to it as youâll get. Still, I felt uneasy as we pulled up, the faint scent of decay still lingering in the air despite the relative quiet. Chowon and I had been separated during the ride, and now, as we stepped out of the vehicles, that distance lingered like an ache just under my skin.
Sakura was quick to approach, clipboard in hand like she was already mentally assigning jobs. âAlright, letâs get this place fortified,â she said briskly, her sharp gaze scanning each of us. âMikey and Chaehyun did well setting this up, but itâs not perfect. Weâll need to check the perimeter, strengthen weak points in the fencing, and clear out anything that might attract trouble.â
I caught Chowonâs eye as she hopped out of the other vehicle, her movements fluid and easy despite the long ride. She looked my way for the briefest moment, her expression unreadable, before Sakura stepped between us.
âDinozen,â Sakura said, her tone firm, âyouâre on perimeter patrol with Leo. Chowon can help Mikey with the fences.â
My jaw tightened at the way she separated us so deliberately, as if we couldnât be trusted to work together. I felt that familiar heat rise in my chestâpossessive, primal, protectiveâbut I swallowed it down. These people didnât understand us, not yet. Maybe they never would.
âSure,â I said coolly, shrugging like it didnât bother me. âPerimeter patrol sounds fun.â
Leo sidled up to me, his usual easygoing grin replaced with something more cautious. He clapped a hand on my shoulder, his grip just a little too tight. âLetâs go, man,â he said. âGot to make sure nothing sneaks up on us.â
Chowon was already moving toward Mikey, her gait relaxed, but I caught the flicker of tension in her movementsâthe way her fingers curled slightly, her nails brushing against her palm. She wasnât happy about this either, but outwardly, she wore her usual bashful smile.
âCome on, Mikey,â she said cheerfully. âLetâs see what needs fixing.â
Sakura watched her go before turning back to me and Leo. âKeep your eyes open,â she said. âAnd stay focused. No distractions.â
I nodded, biting back a sarcastic remark. Instead, I glanced toward the house where Chaehyun stood by the door, her arms crossed, watching all of us with a mix of curiosity and caution. This wasnât just about fortifying the safe house; it was about fortifying the groupâs trustâor lack thereof.
Leo led the way toward the treeline, his machete in hand, while I trailed behind, scanning the perimeter with practiced ease. My thoughts, though, were elsewhereâon Chowon. On the way her scent had lingered in the car even after she was gone. On the way her absence felt like a missing piece of me.
âSo,â Leo said, breaking the silence as we walked, âyou and Chowon seem⊠close.â
I glanced at him, my expression neutral. âWeâve been through a lot together,â I said simply.
âYeah, I get that,â he said, though his tone was cautious. âBut some of the others are⊠worried. After what happened last night.â
âTheyâre alive because of us,â I said, my voice sharp despite my efforts to keep it level.
Leo nodded quickly. âIâm not saying they arenât grateful. Just⊠things looked a little intense, you know? People are still trying to figure out what to make of it.â
I didnât respond, letting the silence stretch between us. Let them worry. Let them guess. As long as they stayed out of our way when it counted, that was all that mattered.
Meanwhile, I could hear Chowonâs voice in the distance, faint but distinct, as she talked to Mikey about the fence. She laughed at something he said, the sound light and airy, but I could feel the tension beneath it like a wire pulled taut.
By the time we circled back to the others, the sun was starting to dip lower in the sky. Chowon was standing by the fence, her hands on her hips, inspecting the repairs. Mikey was chatting animatedly beside her, but her attention shifted the moment she saw me.
Sakura stepped in again, her timing almost comical in its precision. âGood work,â she said briskly, addressing me and Leo. âNow letâs see if we can reinforce the house itself. Chowon, you stay with Mikey and Chaehyun for now.â
Chowonâs expression didnât change, but I caught the faintest flicker of something in her eyesâannoyance, maybe, or a quiet defiance. She nodded, though, her demeanor as shy and accommodating as ever.
âOf course,â she said sweetly. âWhatever you think is best.â
I turned away before anyone could see the irritation creeping into my features. It wasnât the right time to push back, not yet. But as we worked through the evening, I couldnât shake the feeling that separating us wasnât just about safety.
It was about fear.
They were afraid of what we wereâwhat we might become. Which saddened me more than it should have.
I was leaning against the safe houseâs patched-up railing, enjoying the quiet for once. The group had settled in for afternoon , the tension that came with a new place giving way to a cautious calm. I was sharpening my dagger, the rhythmic scrape of the blade against the whetstone grounding me, when Leo, Donny, and Raph approached.
The three of them shuffled awkwardly, like schoolboys about to ask the teacher for help. I didnât look up at first, letting them squirm. Finally, Leo cleared his throat.
âUh, hey, Dinozen,â he started, rubbing the back of his neck. âYou got a minute?â
I glanced up, deliberately slow, then tucked the my dagger and stone into my belt. âWhatâs up?â
Donny hesitated, his cheeks already a little red. âWe, uh⊠we kind of need some advice. Relationship advice.â
My grip tightened for a split second, a surge of something dark and possessive rising in me. Tensions among them could work in my favor, I thought. Distract them, make them look at each other instead of us. But outwardly, I kept my expression calm and curious, tilting my head like I was genuinely interested.
âRelationship advice?â I asked, the corner of my mouth quirking up in a faint smile. âDidnât think I was the type to give it, but sure. Shoot.â
Leo spoke first, his voice low. âItâs about Sakura. I mean, I think she might be interested, but sheâs so⊠focused. Every time I try to talk to her, she brushes me off. I donât know if sheâs not into me or if she just doesnât notice.â
Donny chimed in, almost cutting Leo off. âAnd Venus. Sheâs⊠intense, you know? But I think thereâs something there. I just donât know how to⊠approach her without looking like an idiot.â
I caught myself before I laughed aloud. Venus and Jihyo had been paired off since before I joined this group. The two of them might not have announced it outright, but the signs were thereâthe subtle, protective touches, the way they moved in sync, the private looks.
Donnyâs chasing a ghost, I thought.
Then Raph added his voice to the mix. âAnd Haseul⊠I think maybe sheâs been trying to⊠you know, drop hints? But Iâm not sure if sheâs just being nice orâŠâ
Now thatâs a smarter path, I thought. Haseul had been hovering near Raph more often lately, her gaze lingering when he wasnât looking.
I leaned back against the railing, crossing my arms. Internally, my mind was already weaving threads, possibilities. If Leo and Donny turned their attention to their own pursuits, theyâd have less time to focus on Chowon and me. Better yet, if things went wrong, the tension could splinter the group further. It was almost too easy.
But outwardly, I played the part of the helpful friend. âFirst off,â I said, âyouâre all overthinking this.â I pointed at Leo. âSakuraâs the kind of person who respects directness. If you keep skirting around what you want, sheâs going to assume you donât mean it. Be upfront with her, but keep it simple. Ask her to take a break with youâsomething small, something that lets her focus on you for a few minutes. Sheâs busy, yeah, but sheâs not unfeeling. Give her a reason to look at you.â
Leo nodded slowly, his brow furrowed like he was committing every word to memory.
Then I turned to Donny, keeping my voice even. âAs for Venus⊠look, man, I hate to say it, but youâre barking up the wrong tree. Venus and Jihyo? Theyâve got their own thing going on. Itâs quiet, sure, but itâs there. You donât want to put yourself in that situation.â
Donny blinked, his face falling slightly. âOh,â he muttered.
I clapped him on the shoulder, offering a faint smile. âDonât take it too hard. Youâll find someone whoâs actually looking back at you. Youâve got the charmâjust pick the right target.â
Finally, I turned to Raph, my smirk softening. âAnd Haseul? Sheâs already looking at you, man. Donât overthink it. Sheâs not the kind to play games. If sheâs giving you her time, it means she wants you to notice her. Just talk to her, like a person. Donât make it bigger than it is.â
Raphâs expression shifted from nervous to thoughtful, his lips pressing into a determined line.
âThink you can manage that?â I asked, my tone light, like this was all casual advice from a guy who had it all figured out.
âYeah,â Leo said after a moment. âYeah, that makes sense.â
âSame,â Donny added, his voice firmer now.
Raph nodded as well, his eyes flickering with something like hope.
They all thanked me and wandered off, their heads already buzzing with plans. I watched them go, the faintest smirk tugging at my lips. Iâd given them real advice, sureâgood advice, even. But Iâd also planted seeds. If Leo focused on Sakura and Donny redirected his efforts, the tension in the group might shift in ways that kept Chowon and me out of the spotlight.
And if Raph managed to connect with Haseul? Well, that was one less pair of eyes watching us.
I turned back to my dagger, picking up the whetstone and resuming the steady, calming scrape of blade against stone. They didnât need to know how much Iâd wanted to laugh at their nervousness or how little their problems mattered to me in the grand scheme of things.
As long as they stayed distracted, we could stay safe.
The late afternoon had settled in, and the house was quieter than usual, with most of the group winding down or keeping busy with last-minute chores. Iâd done my part, but I couldnât ignore the pull inside meâthe pull to find her.
Chowon.
Sheâd been busy all day, just like everyone else, but I knew she wouldnât be able to resist the need for solitude. Neither of us could. So, when I noticed sheâd slipped away, I didnât think twice. I followed.
I found her in a small room at the back of the houseâjust a storage space, really, but it offered the kind of privacy we both craved. She was leaning against the door, her breathing shallow, like she had something weighing on her. When she saw me, her lips curved into that soft, bashful smile of hers. It made the beast inside me stir.
âYou knew Iâd come,â she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
I didnât reply at first. I couldnât. It was one of those moments where everything else faded away, and all I could focus on was the way she looked at me. Like she wanted more but was scared of what that might mean.
Slowly, I crossed the room, my every step measured, like I was stalking preyâbut she wasnât prey, not in the way the world would think. She was mine. In a way no one else could understand. My equal. And there was a fire inside meâan unquenchable hungerâthat flared every time she got close.
When I reached her, our gazes locked, and the space between us seemed to shrink. I could feel the raw energy crackling between us, a constant push and pull. Her fingers brushed against my arm, sending a pulse of electricity straight to my chest.
The mask we woreâthe one that kept us from slipping into our darker instinctsâwas slipping. I could feel it. And it felt so damn good.
I leaned in, closer than I should have, letting her feel the heat of my breath on her skin. âYou know, youâre not asking for permission, Chowon,â I said, my voice low, tinged with something dangerous.
She swallowed, a slight shiver running through her. I knew what she feltâthe same thing I did. The pull, the need to break free of everything we were supposed to be.
âMaybe Iâm not,â she said, her voice barely audible. Her fingers slid up my chest, and I had to bite back a growl. Everything in me screamed to take control, to claim what was mine. But I held backâjust enough to let her make the choice.
The door creaked open behind us. I tensed, instinctively pulling back.
âChowon?â Nayoungâs voice, uncertain and high-pitched, broke the moment.
Chowon immediately stepped away from me, her face flushing with embarrassment. She cleared her throat, trying to act casual, but I could feel the weight of the interruption on her, too. She had wanted this as much as I had.
Nayoung stood there, wide-eyed, staring at the two of us. I didnât care what she saw. But Chowon⊠she was still trying to maintain her composure. âI was looking for you,â Nayoung added, her voice awkward.
I shot her a glance, offering a smile that didnât quite reach my eyes. âItâs fine, Nayoung. Just give us a moment.â
Nayoung hesitated, glancing between us with that familiar uncertainty, then nodded and stepped out of the room. I didnât miss the look she shot Chowon before the door clicked shut.
Chowon sighed, letting her shoulders drop as she leaned back against the wall. She ran a hand through her hair, trying to regain her composure, but I could tell she was still shaken. It was just like herâtrying to act like nothing had happened, like the hunger between us wasnât real, wasnât something she craved too.
âYouâre not the only one whoâs good at hiding things,â I muttered under my breath, stepping closer again.
She met my eyes, her lips curling into that soft, rueful smile. âI wasnât hiding anything.â
âOf course you werenât,â I replied, my voice dripping with sarcasm. But there was an understanding there tooâan acknowledgment of what we were. âNeither was I.â
She looked away, but I caught the flash of something darker in her eyes, a fleeting reminder that we were both far from innocent. âLater,â she said, as though trying to pull herself together, smoothing down her clothes like she wasnât just moments away from devouring me.
I nodded, though I wasnât so sure âlaterâ was going to be enough. We both knew the truth now.
We stepped out of the room together, the weight of the moment hanging between us, unspoken but undeniable. As we walked back into the chaos of the house, I couldnât help but glance at her, the bond we shared undeniable.
And as we rejoined the others, I knew that whatever happenedâno matter how much we tried to fight itâthis hunger, this need, wouldnât be so easily ignored.
When Chowon and I returned to the group, the air shifted instantly. It always did when we walked into a room together. It wasnât something we tried to do, but people noticed. Their eyes followed us, their postures stiffened. It was the kind of attention predators gave to other predators when they didnât know whether to trust themâor run.
The others were scattered around the central living room, doing whatever passed for relaxation these days. Leo and Sakura were hunched over a map, marking supply routes with careful precision. Donny was fiddling with a makeshift antenna, muttering about improving the safe houseâs radio signal. Raph and Haseul were by the window, whispering about something that made Haseulâs cheeks flush pink. Venus and Jihyo were on the couch, arms brushing but pretending not to notice.
When we stepped into the room, all those little pockets of activity froze.
Leo glanced up first, his expression unreadable but his shoulders tensing just the same. âBack already?â he asked, his tone casual but laced with an edge I couldnât ignore.
Chowon was quicker to answer. She plastered on one of her signature soft smilesâthe kind that made her look like she couldnât hurt a fly, even though everyone here knew better. âJust needed a breather,â she said lightly, brushing past me and settling into an empty chair near the couch. âItâs been a long day.â
âRight,â Leo muttered, exchanging a quick look with Sakura, who didnât bother to hide her wariness.
I stayed standing, leaning casually against the doorway, but I could feel the weight of their stares. My own mask slipped into placeâa practiced air of calm and control. It wasnât hard. They expected me to be the composed, dependable one. The one who kept things steady. If only they knew how thin that line was sometimes.
Donny broke the tension first, glancing up from his antenna with an awkward grin. âHey, uh, we were talking earlier about fortifying the south side. Might need some extra muscle for that tomorrow.â
âDino can handle it,â Chowon said easily, her voice as sweet and warm as honey. She shot me a quick, playful glance. âHeâs good at heavy lifting.â
I gave her a small smirk, the kind that didnât quite reach my eyes but was enough to keep the tone light. âOnly if youâre supervising,â I said, my voice low enough that only she could hear the double meaning.
She caught it, of course. Her eyes flicked to mine for a brief moment, something dark and knowing passing between us before she turned her attention back to the group.
âSpeaking of tomorrow,â Jihyo chimed in, clearly trying to steer the conversation to safer ground, âweâre low on water. Someoneâs going to have to scout the area for another source.â
âI can do it,â Chowon offered quickly, and I felt my chest tighten. The idea of her out there alone, even for a short trip, sent a wave of protectiveness through me that I barely managed to suppress.
âNo,â Leo cut in, his tone firm. âWeâll go in pairs. Itâs safer that way.â His eyes flicked to me briefly, then back to Chowon. âYou and Nayoung can take that one.â
I clenched my jaw, forcing myself to stay still. The idea of her paired with anyone but me felt wrong, even if I knew it was irrational. Still, I kept my tone even. âSounds like a good plan,â I said, the words bitter on my tongue.
Chowon didnât even flinch. She nodded gracefully, folding her hands in her lap like she had no objections. But I knew her well enough to see the flicker of annoyance behind her eyes. She didnât like being told what to do any more than I did.
As the group settled back into their routines, the tension in the room began to ease. Or at least, they thought it did. I stayed where I was, watching and listening, every sense attuned to the shifting dynamics. Leo and Sakura were still wary, still on edge. Venus kept glancing at Chowon and me when she thought we werenât looking. Even Donny, with all his awkward charm, seemed less sure of himself around us lately.
It didnât bother me. Not really. If anything, it kept them predictable. Distracted. As long as their tension was pointed at each otherâor at usâI could keep control of the situation.
Chowon caught my eye again from across the room, her expression unreadable but her gaze lingering. The bond between us hummed like a live wire, even in the middle of this crowd. They could separate us for now, keep us at armâs length. But it wouldnât last.
Weâd always find our way back to each other. And when we did, the masks would slip again.
I wanted to be better.
That thought was loud in my head as I dragged a sheet of metal across the safe houseyard, the makeshift panel screeching against the dirt. My muscles burned from hours of hauling supplies and hammering nails, and the sun overhead felt like it was doing its best to break me. But I didnât stop.
This was my way of trying to help, of proving that I wasnât just some unpredictable wildcard in their midst. I could be useful. I could be part of the group.
The others were scattered across the property, all busy with their tasks. Leo was up on the roof with Sakura, patching holes and reinforcing weak spots. Jihyo and Venus were inside, organizing supplies. Raph and Haseul were working on reinforcing the gates. They all seemed comfortable in their little pairs, moving together with an ease that came from trust and familiarity.
And then there was me. Alone.
It didnât take much to notice the patterns. They didnât ask me to join in their conversations or include me in their plans. Even now, when every hand mattered, they made a point of keeping me separate. âDino, can you move those over there?â âHey, youâre strongâget this done first.â Commands, not invitations.
It shouldnât have bothered me. I wasnât new to being treated like an outsider. But the weight of it all settled on me like a stone, pressing harder with every glance that lingered a little too long, every whispered conversation I couldnât quite hear.
I was halfway through dragging another sheet of metal when it hit meâharder than it should have. A memory, unbidden and sharp as broken glass.
The day I was bitten.
I could still feel the fever that had burned through me, the way my limbs had gone weak, my vision dimming as my body betrayed me. My family had been thereâfaces pale with horror, tears streaking their cheeks. I had reached for them, begging them to stay, to not leave me alone.
But they had.
The memory of their retreating backs as I collapsed still burned. They had been afraid of what Iâd become. And even though Iâd survived, even though I wasnât like the others, that fear had never really gone away.
It was the same fear I saw now, in the way Leo watched me like I might snap at any moment, in the way Venus kept her distance, in the way Jihyo avoided meeting my eyes.
I straightened, the metal sheet dropping from my hands with a thud. My fists clenched at my sides as my breaths came in slow, measured gulps.
I wasnât one of them. Not really. And maybe I never would be.
I forced myself to focus, to shove those thoughts into the darkest corner of my mind. I picked up the metal sheet again and continued working, but my movements felt heavier now, like I was dragging more than just supplies.
And yet, in the back of my mind, the thought lingered: Theyâll never trust you. Not fully. No matter what you do.
Still, I kept going. Because what else was there?
I stepped away from the group, needing space, air, something to calm the gnawing inside me. The predator was stirring again. It always did when I felt corneredâwhen the isolation, the sideways glances, and the unspoken distrust piled too high.
I found a quiet spot by the treeline and leaned against a weathered trunk, closing my eyes. My chest heaved as I tried to steady myself, my claws itching to come out even though I kept them buried. I wasnât going to let it win. Not now.
The sound of the wind rustling through the trees should have been soothing, but it wasnât enough to drown out the voice in my head: They donât trust you. They never have. They never will.
I dug my fingers into the bark, splintering it beneath my grip, and forced myself to breathe. One⊠two⊠threeâŠ
Then I heard itâthe screams. Distant but unmistakable.
I cursed under my breath, sprinting back toward the group, the predator surging forward like it smelled blood.
When I reached the clearing, the fight was already over. The bodies of infected littered the ground, and the group was huddled together, shaken but mostly unharmed.
All eyes turned to me as I approached, their expressions a mix of relief and suspicion.
âWhere the hell were you?â Venus demanded, her voice sharp.
âI stepped away for a minute,â I said, my tone tight.
âA minute?â Donnyâs voice cut through the tension, his face flushed with anger. âWe were fighting for our lives, and you were justâwhat? Taking a stroll?â
I opened my mouth to respond, but he wasnât finished.
âI knew we shouldnât have trusted you,â he said, jabbing a finger in my direction. âYou slayers are always so selfish, so worthless in a group setting. All you care about is yourselves!â
The words hit harder than they should have, and something inside me snapped.
The predator roared to life, surging forward with a ferocity I couldnât contain. My vision blurred, and a low growl escaped my throat before I even realized it.
I stepped toward Donny, my muscles tensing as every instinct screamed for recompense. His scent was sharpâfear, adrenaline, something that only fueled the hunger clawing its way up my spine.
âDinozen,â Chowonâs voice cut through the haze, sharp and commanding.
I froze, my gaze snapping to hers. She stepped between us, her hand lightly brushing my arm, and for a moment, the world narrowed to just her.
âHey,â she said softly, but there was steel beneath her tone. âWe all need to take a breather sometimes. Let it go.â
Donnyâs mouth opened, but she shot him a glare that silenced him immediately.
She turned back to me, her eyes searching mine. âCome on,â she said, taking my hand. âLetâs get out of here.â
I let her lead me away, my chest still heaving with the effort of keeping the predator at bay. She didnât say anything until we were far enough from the group that their voices were just a faint murmur.
When we stopped, she turned to face me, her gaze steady.
âLet it out,â she said, her voice calm but firm.
I shook my head, backing away. âI canâtââ
âYes, you can,â she interrupted, stepping closer. âIâm here. I can handle it.â
Her words broke something in me. The predator surged forward, and I let it. My head tilted back as a roar tore from my throat, reverberating through the trees. It was raw, primal, and louder than Iâd ever allowed it to be.
When the sound finally faded, I slumped forward, breathing hard. Chowonâs hand was on my chest, steadying me.
Her eyes softened, and before I could say anything, she leaned in and kissed me. It wasnât rushed or desperateâit was grounding, pulling me back from the edge.
âYouâre not alone,â she whispered against my lips.
I rested my forehead against hers, closing my eyes. The predator was still there, but it had quieted, content for now.
The living room was lit with a warm glow, the crackle of a fire providing the soundtrack to our makeshift Christmas celebration. Despite everythingâthe attacks, the tension, the unspoken fearsâwe had found a moment to gather as a group. A small tree sat in the corner, decorated with scavenged ornaments, and under it were gifts, most wrapped in patchwork paper or cloth.
Venus stood up first, a sly smile tugging at her lips as she held out a small, carefully wrapped box. âAlright, Dinozen,â she said, her voice teasing, âyouâre up.â
I blinked, surprised that sheâd drawn my name. When I took the package, the weight of it felt solid but unfamiliar. With the groupâs eyes on me, I peeled back the paper and froze.
Inside was a revolver-shaped dice chamber. The bullets, each intricately carved into polyhedral dice, gleamed in the light.
âYou mentioned liking D&D and guns,â Venus said, her tone nonchalant but her gaze curious, watching for my reaction. âThought Iâd combine the two.â
I turned the revolver chamber in my hands, feeling the weight of it, the craftsmanship. For a moment, the predator inside me stirred, sensing the symbolism of the weapon. But as I looked at Venus, I pushed it down and smiledâgenuinely. âThis is incredible. Thank you.â
Venus gave a small nod, and I caught a flicker of somethingâmaybe trustâcross her face before she sat back down.
My turn. I reached into the bag beside me and pulled out a small box. âNagyung,â I said, holding it out. âThis oneâs for you.â
Nagyungâs face lit up as she unwrapped the gift. Inside was a handheld gaming console I had found and fixed up, complete with a charger. Her eyes widened as she turned it over in her hands.
âYou got it working?â she asked, her voice filled with awe.
âYup,â I said, scratching the back of my head. âThought you could use something to pass the time when things get quiet.â
She grinned, her excitement contagious. âThis is amazing. Thank you!â
As she admired the gift, I noticed something in her gazeâa quick glance toward Donny, then back to the console. The pieces clicked.
âHey,â I said, standing suddenly and catching everyoneâs attention. âHold up.â
The group stilled, confused, but I ignored them, focusing on Nagyung. âYou like Donny, donât you?â
Her face flushed red, and she stammered, âIâwhat? I donâtââ
Donny, equally flustered, muttered, âWhatâs he talking about?â
I raised a hand, cutting off the denials. âLook, itâs Christmas. If thereâs ever a time to be honest about how you feel, itâs now.â I looked between the two of them. âTalk. Now.â
The room was silent as Nagyung and Donny hesitated, but then Nagyungtook a deep breath, standing. Donny followed her lead, and together, they walked out of the room, whispering to each other.
When the door closed behind them, the tension in the room shifted. The group looked at me, their expressions softening. For the first time, I saw understanding in their eyes.
âGuess youâve got a heart after all,â Venus murmured, a small smile tugging at her lips.
âDonât push it,â I replied, but there was no heat in my voice.
The gift exchange continued, the atmosphere lighter now. When it finally ended, Chowon tugged on my sleeve, her touch sending a jolt of electricity through me.
âCome on,â she whispered, her voice soft but insistent.
I didnât need to be told twice. We slipped away from the group, moving through the quiet hallways until we found a secluded corner.
Chowon turned to me, her eyes dark and predatory, but there was a tenderness there too. âYouâre incredible, you know that?â
I smirked, stepping closer. âTakes one to know one.â
Her hand slid up my arm, her touch grounding and electrifying all at once. âTheyâre starting to see you, Dino. The real you. Itâs working.â
I tilted my head, brushing a strand of hair from her face. âYou make it easier.â
The predator in me stirred, recognizing her as my equal, my mate. And for once, I didnât fight it. As our lips met, the masks we wore for the group slipped away, leaving only the raw, unfiltered bond between us. In between messy hungry kisses, Chowon said, âYou have no idea how angry I was when Donny came after you. I should have let you tear into him. We should have torn into them all,â Chowon said as her inner lioness sheds its meek mask. Her eyes shone with that familiar hunger. I feel imperious come out and Chowon purrs in satisfaction. âThereâs my partner in crime. My equal.â She moans as she goes in for another kiss. we spend the rest of the night together cuddling and enjoying each other's presence.
The moonlight filtered through the cracked blinds of the safe house as Chowon moved silently through the halls. The group had settled in for the night, their murmured conversations and quiet laughter fading into the background. But her focus wasnât on them. It was on Donny.
She found him sitting alone near the back entrance, fiddling with the straps of his boots. He looked up when he sensed her presence, his posture stiffening.
âChowon,â he said, his voice cautious. âSomething you need?â
Her usual maskâkind, bashful, unassumingâwas nowhere to be found. Instead, there was an intensity in her eyes, something primal and dangerous that froze Donny in place. She stepped closer, and though her movements were slow and deliberate, there was an undeniable power in them, like a lioness stalking her prey.
âYouâve got a lot to say about my equal,â she began, her voice low and sharp as a blade. âToo much.â
Donny blinked, his mouth opening to respond, but no words came out.
Chowon leaned in, her face inches from his, and the predatory edge in her gaze made him shrink back. âListen to me carefully, Donny,â she said, her tone steady and calm, but laced with the unmistakable promise of violence. âIf you ever come after Dinozen like that again, I will tear your throat out.â
The words hung in the air like a death sentence, and for a moment, Donny was too stunned to react. He could feel the weight of her presence, the raw, animalistic power she usually kept buried beneath her quiet demeanor.
And then, just as quickly as it had surfaced, it was gone. Chowon straightened, the warmth returning to her eyes as she tilted her head and gave him a gentle, almost apologetic smile. âYou should get some rest,â she said sweetly as if nothing had happened. âLong day tomorrow.â
She turned and walked away, leaving Donny sitting there, still trying to process what had just happened.
As Chowon disappeared into the shadows, the predator within her purred in satisfaction. Her equal was safe, and the balance had been restored. For now.
We were nearly ready to leave the safe house, the group moving like a well-oiled machine, though the unease of what lay ahead was palpable. I busied myself with the perimeter, scanning the tree line and listening for any sound out of place. The air had a weight to it, a sense that something wasnât right, but I chalked it up to nerves.
Then the ground started trembling.
âEveryone, on alert!â I shouted, my voice cutting through the bustle.
The first thing I saw was the treeline parting as a massive creatureâa hulking monstrosity of decay and muscleâlurched forward. It shouldnât have been able to move so fast, but it did, each step shaking the earth. And then it opened its mouth and breathed fire.
âScatter!â I roared, drawing my weapon and placing myself between the group and the beast.
Chaos erupted as flames licked the edges of the safe house, forcing the others to dive for cover. My heart pounded, the predator within me straining against my control, but I couldnât let it take over. Not now. Not in front of them.
The monster charged, and I met it head-on, weaving past its fiery breath and slashing at its joints. My strikes landed, but this thing wasnât going down easy. Every swing of its massive claws forced me back, each roar rattling my bones.
âDino!â Chowonâs voice reached me, frantic and desperate.
âStay with them!â I barked, not daring to look at her. âIâve got this!â
But the beast had other plans. Its massive claw lashed out, wrapping around me like a vice. I thrashed, slashing and kicking, but it was no use. The world tilted as it yanked me off the ground, dragging me away.
âChowon!â I shouted, but I couldnât see her anymore. Only the burning horizon and the sound of the group retreating.
Sakura grabbed her arm. âChowon, we have to go!â
âIâm not leaving him!â she snarled, her voice raw with emotion.
The group hesitated, torn between their loyalty to Chowon and their survival instincts. Finally, Leo spoke, his voice heavy with regret. âWe donât have a choice. He wouldnât want us to die here.â
The group began to retreat, dragging Chowon with them. She fought them every step of the way, but eventually, she relented, her eyes never leaving the direction Dinozen had been taken.
An hour later, Chowon sat alone by the charred remains of a tree, her knees pulled to her chest. Her mind raced, torn between worry for Dinozen and guilt for letting the group leave without her.
The sound of approaching footsteps made her tense, her hand instinctively going to her knife. A figure emerged from the shadowsâa tall man with dark eyes and a calm, almost disarming smile.

Just Confess Already! Part 2
Drabbles about Genshin men (or you) confessing with the help of a wingman. This is pure fluff.
Characters: Kazuha, Kinich, Ororon, Wanderer, and Cyno.
Part 1 here.
I apologize if the endings sound abrupt, I've edited and rewritten this many times, and at this point I just want to get this finally posted. I also apologize for the length, my writing style has changed since part 1.
đ Kazuha
Everyone and their mother at The Crux could tell you and Kazuha had a thing for each other. The way you guys spent most of your free time in each otherâs company discussing poetry or music, the way Kazuha always volunteered to help you with your tasks, how you took care of Kazuha when he got drunk, and just the overall subtle romantic tension about your pair tipped off pretty much everyone.
Though Beidou didnât want to pry into the love lives of her crew, sheâd sometimes catch glimpses of you and Kazuha chatting up in the crowâs nest of the ship and noted that the way you smiled at each other was endearing. Otherwise, she paid little attention to it, thinking it was only a matter of time until one of you confessed and you guys became an official couple.
However, that time never came. The two of you pussyfooted around the topic of laying bare your feelings, and everyone at The Crux was getting a little annoyed that you were stuck in the pining phase. There was a limit to how long Beidou could tolerate watching you give each other pining glances without snapping and telling you two to get together already.
One time when you were out on an errand, Beidou and her crew invited Kazuha for a drink. The friendly and cheerful atmosphere prompted some members to share their life stories, and the topic breached romance. Someone asked Kazuha why he hadnât confessed to you yet, and the drunken ronin answered that he treasured your friendship and didnât want to jeopardize it in case you didnât feel the same way.
Beidou could only scoff at his excuse. It was so obvious that you liked him back, and since when was Kazuha such a coward? He could go up against the Raiden Shogunâs deadly Musou no Hitotachi, but had his tail between his legs at the prospect of admitting he loved you to your face? Preposterous! Moreover, she had to tell her crew to settle down because they were creating a spectacle out of your crushes on each other and making bets on which one of you would confess first (she betted on you).
If Kazuha was too much of a coward, Beidou thought, then maybe youâd be braver.
That same evening, she happened to find you alone in your cabin and took the opportunity to bring up the issue of your longtime crush on Kazuha. Though she was no expert on romance, Beidou wanted to help you. She got you to open up and confide in her, patiently listening while you expressed your fears about confessing to Kazuha. You also didnât want to ruin the friendship you had with him, so Beidou stated outright that he returned your feelings. If you didnât believe her, then see for yourself.
With that, she pried open a window in the cabin. Over the gentle lapping of the waves, you heard the crewâs laughter up on the deck, and the faint sound of Kazuhaâs familiar voice. It was a little difficult to hear what he was saying over the crewâs chatter, and his speech was slightly slurred, but you made out a few words. He frequently spoke your name while reciting a few clumsy haikus. But they werenât just any random poems about the sea or skyâthey were love haikus.
Beidou patted your shoulder and told you to have courage instead of wasting your life wondering about what-ifs and regretting not doing anything.
Over the following days, Beidou sent you and Kazuha out on joint errands in Liyue Harbour. The errands themselves werenât all that important, but they served as good excuses to give you two some alone time. Kazuha was no fool and quickly deduced that Beidou was setting you two up on purpose, but he wasnât about to turn down an opportunity to spend more time with you.
Beidou hoped something would finally change by the time you returned, and sure enough, when she spotted you and Kazuha walking back to the ship, she smiled. The two of you were holding hands and smiling warmly at each other, a good sign that your once-suppressed feelings were now in the open. Naturally, the rest of the crew noticed the change as well and grew excited when you confirmed that you and Kazuha were now in a romantic relationship.
That night, they brought out the good wine and food to congratulate you and Kazuha on finally getting together. Most of the Cruxâs crew joined on the festivities, with some members being nosy and asking you for details on how it happened and who confessed first.
When you admitted to confessing first, Beidou smugly accepted her winnings and took a big swig of her drink before yelling out a cheer. Her crew followed suit in toasting and cheering much to your and Kazuhaâs embarrassment, but it was all in good fun. Beidou made sure to make it up to you by distracting the crew with a drinking game and sending you a wink as she allowed you and Kazuha to make a quiet escape from the party. The Crux gang would have plenty of time to tease you in the futureâfor now, you and Kazuha deserved to enjoy this newfound relationship without others poking their noses where they donât belong. Beidou would make sure of it.
đ© Kinich
Kinichâs relationship with you perplexed Kâuhul Ajaw. The Almighty Dragonlord couldnât pinpoint when it happened, but something between you two changed. Recently, Kinich had been giving you discounts whenever you asked for his help, and sometimes even did things for you for free. Kinich the Malipo giving someone special treatment? Unheard of! And on top of all that, his servant had been visiting you more frequently during downtime, and there was also that strange glint in Kinichâs eyes whenever he looked at you, something akin to endearmentâ
Oh.
Kinich liked you.
Oh, this was going to be good!
Ajawâs diabolical nature wouldnât let him keep Kinichâs feelings for you a secret. The next time you came to hang out with their duo, the saurian waved his little stubby arms and ran his mouth as soon as you were within earshot. âHey, human! Our lowly servant has developed romantic feelings for you like some sort of prepubescent schoolboy! Isnât that a riot?â and cackled, thinking Kinich would be thoroughly humiliated and put in his place.
To Ajawâs dismay, instead of looking disgusted by the news, you appeared⊠hopeful? A tad surprised by his outburst, but was that hope shining in your eyes? To Ajawâs even greater dismay, Kinich lacked any sort of outward reaction to having his crush on you vocalized so brazenly. Instead, the saurian hunter told you to ignore Ajawâs nonsensical words in his usual calm manner, before smacking the pixelated menace away for a timeout. Right before he got locked away, Ajaw managed to catch a glimpse of disappointment in your eyes when Kinich brushed the situation aside as if it were nothing.
That day, Kâuhul Ajaw realized that Kinichâs feelings were not one-sided like he originally thought. You liked Kinich too. The mere thought of you two acting all lovey-dovey with each other was sickening, but the saurian figured poking fun at you and Kinich would be a good source of entertainment.
After that day, Ajaw became even more insufferable. Every chance he got, heâd swoop in with a taunting remark and make fun either you, Kinich, or both.
One time while accompanying Kinich through a dense forest, you slipped on a wet tree root and were sent falling towards the ground. However, Kinich swiftly caught you and pulled you to his chest to help stabilize you. Ajaw had a field day laughing and crowing about how scandalous you were for practically throwing yourself at Kinich like that. Were you that desperate to be in his arms? Disgusting!
The saurian also used every opportunity he could find to reveal all of Kinichâs secrets to you. Did you know Kinich gave you special treatment? No? Are you blind?! Canât you tell he does stuff for you for free? Why do you think he brings you game and wild berries free of charge every once in a while--to show off how good he is at hunting?! Have you at least noticed Kinich smiled more and acted softer towards you, or are you really that blind? He doesnât treat anyone else that way, you know! âŠAnd so on and so forth, though most of his attempts to out Kinich are interrupted by the man himself locking Ajaw away before the dragon reveals too much.
As fun as it was to watch your pairâs awkward attempts at showing signs of affection for each other, Ajaw eventually grew frustrated with standing witness to the mutual pining that never progressed anywhere. It made the little saurianâs blood boil with annoyance.
Whenever he and Kinich were alone, Ajaw would complain that the hunter should stop being a dimwit and a coward and just confess to you already! How could he not see that you obviously liked him back?! Seriously, how bad was his luck to end up with such an imbecile for a servant?!
Kinich coolly rejected Ajawâs insistence for confessing his feelings. It was not in his nature to recklessly rush into the unknownâhe needed to carefully analyze and weigh his options before coming to a sound decision. As such, his relationship with you was not to be rushed. This didnât sit well with Ajaw, but no matter what he said, Kinich stubbornly refused to listen.
The Dragonlordâs patience reached a breaking point during one fateful day. It was getting dark, and Kinich had offered to escort you home. Once you were safely at your doorstep, you made the bold move of kissing Kinichâs cheek in thanks. For a split moment, Ajaw swore there was palpable romantic tension between you as your and Kinichâs eyes met (gross). Kinich glanced at your lips, looking as if he wanted to lean in and kiss you (doubly gross) and Ajaw prepared himself to make disgusted gagging noises, except⊠nothing happened. With a seldom seen blush on his cheeks, Kinich awkwardly cleared his throat and bid you goodnight, preparing to leave.
Ajaw exploded.
âThis is painful to watch! You two were clearly made for each otherâboth equally cowardly and blind to each otherâs feelings! Just admit you like each other already; youâre not fooling anyone! Kinich, you cowardly, brainless, insufferable insectâjust lean in for that kiss, you obviously want to! And you! Stop waffling and just spit out that you like Kinich already! Agh, watching you two is torture! What did the great Kâuhul Ajaw do to deserve this fate?!â he yelled, turning red in the face.
Kinich promptly locked Ajaw away, for which the saurian would later chew him out once he was free, but not before interrogating you and the hunter about whether you finally confessed. Once Kinich revealed that yes, you had talked it out and admitted your mutual feelings for each other and were now in a relationship, Ajaw could finally feel some sense of peace regarding the situation.
Feeling proud of his contributions, Ajaw puffed out his chest and told you and Kinich to pucker up and kiss his feet in worship, for only with the help of the Almighty Dragonlord Kâuhul Ajaw has your relationship progressed instead of stagnating like swamp water.
Though the saurian relic continued to be an annoyance, even Kinich had to admit that Ajaw played a part in getting you together. Though not in the form of worship or foot kissing, Kinich did repay the favor by procuring some quenepa berries and other fruits that Ajaw liked, hosting a small feast as a thank you. Though Ajaw complained about being scammed, the snacks did the trick of improving his mood and keeping him occupied while you and Kinich had some precious time to yourselves.
đŠ Ororon
Ever since you and Ororon were children, Citlali observed that the two of you got along well. So well, in fact, that Ororon had developed a little crush on you. He would pluck flowers from a nearby meadow to give you, follow you around like a loyal puppy, and one time, Ororon told Citlali that he hoped to marry you one day.
Citlali couldnât help but find Ororonâs crush on you adorable, and a part of her anticipated the day when you both grew up and got married. She had no doubt you would make the sweetest couple among the Masters of the Night-Wind.
Ororonâs attraction to you persisted into adulthood. At that point, Citlali could no longer call it a cute little crushâ âLoveâ was a more apt description for how Ororon felt towards you, even if he tried to hide the depth of his attachment to you. He was content to stay as just your friend and not risk ruining the close bond you had in case you didnât return his feelings. Citlali was a little frustrated that Ororon continued to pine for you without doing anything about it, but she knew better than to force the stubborn boy to do something he didnât want to. If you were both happy with the way things were, then why change them?
However, during one of her rare trips to the market for some divination supplies, Citlali overheard a conversation between two tribespeople. The topic of conversation was about love, and one of the men bashfully admitted that he thought you were pretty and that he hoped to ask you out on a date soon. This news washed over Citlali like a bucket of cold water as worry seized her heart.
This wasnât the first time others had expressed romantic interest in you. After all, youâve always had a bit of a reputation among the Masters of the Night-Wind for being attractive, so it wasnât surprising others had an eye on you. However, now that you were an independent adult, it wouldnât be strange for you to look for a partner to settle down with, right? Knowing Ororon, the dimwit wouldnât ever think to confess, and what if someone else confessed before he did and stole your heart?
Citlali didnât want to force you to choose Ororon, but she didnât want things to end without her beloved grandson at least taking a shot at winning you over. The last thing she wanted was for Ororon to be left heartbroken and disappointed all because he let the chance to be with you slip from his fingers.
With these troubled thoughts, Citlali sought out Ororon and announced that he needed to stop dawdling and actively pursue you unless he wanted to watch your heart get stolen by somebody else. Citlaliâs sudden proclamation confused Ororon, so she explained that heâs not the only one who is in love with you and that thereâs a risk of you choosing someone else to spend your life with.
As she expected, Ororon stubbornly refused to go along with her urging, saying that who you wanted to end up with was your choice and he would respect it. Though he said that, Citlali could see it on Ororonâs face that the mere thought of you falling for someone else hurt him, and she couldnât help but feel bad for her grandson.
After much convincing and reassurance, Citlali got Ororon to agree to court you and promised to come up with a plan to help him in this endeavour. There was, however, one major problem: how were two socially awkward outcasts supposed to win someoneâs heart? Having never been courted herself, Citlali had no past experiences to draw from when designing her plan, but it shouldnât be too hard, right? Sheâd read a lot of romance novels imported from Inazuma, so maybe if she got Ororon to do some of the same things the male leads did, then it would curry your favour? Regardless, it was worth a shot.
The plan was for Ororon to prove his worth as a suitable partner by giving you gifts, compliments, and always being there for you no matter what it was. In Ororonâs opinion, he was already doing all of these things for you as a friend, but Citlali insisted that his actions needed to be infused with romance to distinguish them from gestures of friendship. Her grandson was still reluctant to actively court you, but he had promised to try and try he did. Except, his approach subverted Citlaliâs expectations.
When it came to giving gifts, instead of presenting jewellery, woven scrolls, or useful gadgets, the young man gifted you game he had caught in the wild and the best selection of produce from his garden. Citlali could only facepalm when Ororon told her which gifts he planned to give you, but she also knew he put genuine thought into them. Ororon handpicked the nicest veggies he could find in his garden and personally delivered them to your doorstep instead of sending Ifa like he normally would. Citlali told him that giving gifts in person held more meaning, and Ororon appeared to have taken her words to heart.
Ororon also gifted you flowers much like he did when you were little. However, this time he didnât give you flowers plucked from the wild. Instead, he gifted you potted plants that he had also grown in his garden. âThey will live and look pretty for longer,â he told you, then received a flick to the forehead once Citlali found out what he did.
His compliments were no better. Saying things like his vegetables grew better whenever you visited his home and spoke to his plants or your presence being calming for the aphids, was the best Ororon could do. Citlali admonished him for these strange compliments, but to Ororon, that was the highest praise anyone could receive. After all, you were an amazing person, and even his plants and aphids sensed it.
Ororonâs courtship was unconventional to say the least, and granny Itztli worried whether her grandson made a favorable impression on you. To help improve Ororonâs image in your eyes, Citlali sought you out more often to put in a good word for her grandson and get you to see him as a man. She highlighted Ororonâs good points to you, commenting how Ororon is a bit peculiar, but heâs also kind, resourceful, accepting, gentle, and so much more. A truly good kid. He would make an excellent romantic partner, wouldnât you agree?
Her pushiness flustered you, but it also allowed Citlali to gauge how you felt about Ororon, and she had to contain her excitement when she pieced together that you loved him back. In her giddiness, she urged Ororon to confess.
When the day of the confession came, Citlali hid among some trees while keeping an eye on you and Ororon. She didnât intent to spy, but the anxiety over how the confession would go made her antsy and she couldnât sit still at home. She watched as Ororon offered you a basket of his finest produce and finally professed his love. The confession came out awkward because he tried to recite what he practiced with Citlali a few days prior, and he seemed to realize this because Ororon then took your hand and placed it against his chest. Using his own words this time, Ororon explained that he genuinely did love you, and the racing of his heart should be proof enough that you were more than just a friend in his eyes. However, it was alright if you didnât feel the same way about him.
Citlali had to clamp her hands over her mouth to hold back from squealing in giddiness as she watched you reciprocate Ororonâs feelings. She would later apologize for spying since she knew it was wrong, but it filled her with joy to witness the blossoming of love between you. In some ways, this was better than any romance novel she had read in all her years of living, and it warmed her heart to see you both so happy.
Even if it was a childhood fantasy, perhaps Ororonâs wish of marrying you was not that far off now? Citlali certainly hoped so.
âïž Wanderer
Nahida was no expert on romance, but she had observed enough couples during her 500-year-long imprisonment to know what romantic attraction looked like. The strange air surrounding you and Wanderer must have been that, she speculated, as she watched Wanderer hand you a box of your favorite foods with the flimsy excuse of having made too much. For your part, you seemed genuinely touched by the gesture despite Wandererâs grumbling, much to Nahidaâs delight. Wandererâs prickly personality pushed some people away, but not you. You stayed by his side and gave him the companionship he needed, helping Wanderer open up and heal from his trauma.
It was clear you deeply cared for the young man, and a little peek into your mind confirmed to Nahida that yes, you did love him romantically. She couldnât read Wandererâs mind since he blocked all her attempts to do so, but she didnât need mindreading to conclude that he loved you too.
When she next spoke with Wanderer, she carefully asked if he loved you. Wandererâs response was a gruff âNoâ and âStop askingâ, however Nahida could tell he wasnât being honest with his feelings. If he didnât love you, then why did he treat you differently compared to everyone else? His manner of speech is gentler when with you, and despite all his grumbling he still complies with all your requests no matter how irritating he may find them. Not to mention, he spends most of his free time in your company, goes out of his way to make you little gifts and cook your favorite dishes. Surely all these behaviours were proof that you were someone special to him?
Being effectively cornered, the puppet had no choice except to come clean about his hidden feelings. With scowl and a blush on his cheeks, Wanderer reluctantly admitted that yes, he likes you, but it was none of Nahidaâs business and sheâd better stay out of it.
Despite Wandererâs warning, the Dendro Archon wanted to help get you together. She felt confident that if both of you put in a little effort, a beautiful romance could blossom between you. Still, she didnât want to outright reveal your feelings for each other. She believed that each of you should relay these intimate feelings yourselves. All Nahida would do is give you a gentle nudge in the right direction.
To help her with this task, Nahida sought help from a few Aranara and asked them to keep an eye on you and Wanderer and report any meaningful details that could help her bring you together. Through her little helpers, Nahida learned the full extent of Wandererâs affections for you, and she couldnât help but smile at how sweet he was, especially when it came to you.
Using this acquired knowledge, the Dendro Archon frequently brought up Wanderer in your conversations with her to explain the thoughtfulness behind some of his gifts and words. For as frank as he usually was with people, Wanderer was more close-lipped about the true extent of his feelings, so Nahida had some work cut out for her in making you realize how much he truly cared about you.
For example, the next time Wanderer gave you your favorite food with the excuse that heâd made too much, Nahida revealed to you that he actually spent several days perfecting the recipe before finally giving the dish to you.
That hand-made bracelet he gifted you, saying he got it for free during an arts and crafts event he visited? Wanderer actually made it himself during that event and used beads of your favorite colors. The Aranara watched him spend a lot of time crafting that bracelet with the greatest care, but Nahida left that part out.
In addition, she would subtly drop hints for you to invite Wanderer to hang out more often. For example, the Zubayr Theater was hosting a play and Nahida heard there was a discount if you bought two tickets. Why donât you go and invite Wanderer to come with you?
As for Wanderer, she discreetly told him that you once mentioned wanting to try out a new drink at Puspa Cafe but had nobody to go with, so why not be a good friend and take you there himself? Wanderer initially objected, but ultimately caved in and invited you to the Café while commenting that a certain annoying sprout said you wanted to try a new drink there, though deep down he glad for the opportunity to spend more time with you. Nahida could tell by the way Wanderer went out of his way to spoil you that day, buying you anything you wanted and keeping you company until the sun set.
Little by little, Nahida softened Wanderer towards the possibility of being in a romantic relationship with you, and helped you gather the courage to confess. Wanderer was unlikely to ever confess first, so the responsibility rested on your shoulders. She could tell you were nervous about laying bare your feelings, but she reassured you that things would go well. You only needed to take that leap of faith.
When you finally confessed, Nahida and the Aranara secretly observed the scene from behind a nearby corner, curious to see how things would go while also quietly cheering you on (not that you knew). When a flustered Wanderer accepted your confession, Nahida was overjoyed. She had fun guiding both of you towards this moment, but the satisfaction of knowing you could finally be together the way you always wished was rewarding in its own way. Even when Wanderer later confronted her about spying on you during your confession and scolded her for it, the little Archonâs happiness didnât wane. She looked forward to seeing what your newfound relationship would blossom into, and had no doubt it would be something beautiful and pure, just like your love for each other.
đïžâđšïž Cyno
It was no secret to Tighnari that you and Cyno liked each other. He had known about your mutual crushes as far back as your student days at the Akademiya where you first met. You became fast friends with him and Cyno, but Tighnari couldnât help but think Cyno was a bit more special to you than you let on. After all, you were one of the few who wasnât intimidated by Cynoâs perpetual stern facial expressions and actively sought him out, and who actually laughed at his lame jokes.
Tighnari also knew about Cynoâs crush on you since his friend confided about it to him. Not that Cyno needed to say anything because Tighnari could see his attraction to you clear as day. Cynoâs eyes lit up whenever he saw you in the distance, he tried to act âcoolerâ in your presence in an attempt to impress you, and Tighnari swore that if Cyno had a tail, it would have wagged like a dogâs every time you laughed at his jokes.
Though he knew about your mutual romantic attraction to each other, Tighnari didnât want to stick his nose into your love lives. He figured you guys would resolve everything yourselves in due time.
However, nothing changed even after you guys graduated. Your group remained close friends and saw each other regularly, but Tighnari was starting to lose his patience with how you and Cyno hopelessly pined for each other. He had already lost count of the number of times each of you came to him for advice on how to win the other over.
Cyno asked Tighnariâs opinion on a lot of things: Would you like his newest joke? Would you be okay with Cyno volunteering to be your bodyguard for your upcoming desert excursion? Which of his limited edition TCG cards best represented you? Cyno wanted to express how much you meant to him by giving you a card that reminded him of you.
You were no better. Tighnari had lost count of the number of times you approached him with questions about Cynoâs work schedule. Your excuse was that you wanted to plan hangouts with him, Collei, and Cyno during their days off, but Tighnari knew there was another reason why you asked about Cynoâs schedule in particular. He had half a mind to tell you to ask Cyno yourself because it was obvious that you just wanted to spend more time with the General Mahamatra. You also pestered Tighnari with questions about Cynoâs TCG deck. Much like his friend, you wanted to express your appreciation for Cyno by giving him cards he didnât have yet.
Seriously, you two were a match made in heavenâŠ
Tighnari would have found your mutual crushes on each other endearing, if only he wasnât stuck being the middleman. As it stood, Tighnari wanted nothing more than to throttle both of you for pussyfooting around your feelings and getting him caught up in being your messenger. He was on the brink of snapping and sitting you both down to explain that your feelings were mutual, so just hurry up and get together already.
Thatâs why the next time Cyno approached him with another question about you, Tighnari took the opportunity to convince his friend to confess. He and Collei assured Cyno that you liked him a lot, and urged him to tell you his feelings. Cyno was hesitant but did seem to want some closure about whether you liked him back or not, so Tighnari gave him an incentive. How about the next time he played TCG with you, you guys set some stakes? Why not have a rule that the loser must tell the winner a secret? If Cyno lost, he would have to confess.
Cyno wasnât fond of the idea initially, but agreed after some contemplation, acknowledging that this method would be effective in giving him that necessary push. Still, Tighnari could tell Cyno was nervous about confessing, so he volunteered to come along as moral support, much to Cynoâs gratitude.
That was how Tighnari and Collei found themselves at Puspa Cafe, sitting a few tables away from you and Cyno, hidden from your line of sight. Tighnari tutored Collei while Cyno played that fateful round of TCG against you, but the Forest Ranger kept a close eye on his friend. Though he didnât want to get too invested in Cynoâs love life, even he couldnât help but grow anxious as he watched the TCG match end with Cynoâs loss.
Although Tighnari was too far away to hear what Cyno was saying, he could tell the moment of confession had come. Now, the ball was in your court.
You looked stunned by whatever Cyno said, but soon smiled and said something that made Cyno mirror the happy expression on your face and reach out to hold your hand. Though he couldnât hear, Tighnari knew you had reciprocated his feelings. Even Collei quietly fawned over how cute you both looked. It had been a long journey, but he was truly happy for his friend. Out of everyone, Cyno was happiest with you, and Tighnari hoped you would continue to make him happy for many years to come.
With everything ending well, Tighnari beckoned Collei and discreetly left the cafe before you or Cyno noticed. As happy as he was for you guys, he dreaded the possibility of Cyno coercing them into a TCG match. With how elated his friend must be right now, it was only a matter of time until Cyno called him and Collei over for a new game to celebrate you accepting his feelings. In Tighnariâs opinion, you guys deserved to have some proper time to yourselves to explore your feelings and new relationship without him and Collei serving as thirdwheels. That, and he just really didnât want to sit through another hour of watching Cyno show off for you.

in which: a moment of impulsivity has ratio knocking on your door at 3 am with a grand confession.
There is a great cloud of curiosity that surrounds Dr. Ratio.
His intelligence is far beyond the average personâs comprehension, mind working at insurmountable speeds to reach conclusions and answers that no others have come to before. Mediocrity and Ratio could never stand to be in the same room, intelligence and reputation as an academic preceding him.
When people find out that you have been in a long-term relationship with the scholar, you can almost see the question mark above their heads. How did you meet? When did you start dating? How did you start dating? How do you put up with him? (You always answer that with âIâm still trying to find out myselfâ. He always rolls his eyes when you say that, but itâs nothing a kiss to the cheek canât solve.)Â
Only your closest friends know the story of how you started dating, but itâs always one you love recounting, much to the dismay of Veritas.Â
For the decades that he has lived for, there have been few moments he regrets, always critically scrutinising every move six steps before he makes them. No one has ever seen him messy, uncertain, or dishevelled- except you.Â
Towards the end of your university years, with an urgent final assignment due soon, youâre rudely awoken one night by frantic knocks on your dormâs door. You notice the clock reads 3 am, and since the knocks only got louder by the second, you throw your covers off with a groan.
Who could be at your door at 3 am? Perhaps a drunk dormmate who forgot their keys? Or someone knocking thinking it was their room?
Looking through the peephole, youâre stunned to see a certain violet-haired friend on the other side, trouble etched deeply into his features. His hair was messy, falling haphazardly around his face, and his usual accessory of a laurel wreath was discarded, flamboyant outfit discarded for something more comfortable.Â
Itâs clear that heâs troubled by something, but you have half a mind to leave him outside until he goes away (thatâs what heâd do to you, or so you think).
Opening the door, you begin by scolding him. âYou better have a good reason to show up at this godforsaken time or otherwise-â
â-Iâm in love with you.âÂ
Perhaps if it were a normal hour of the day, and if you hadnât just been rudely awaken from your sleep, you would have processed his words faster. Instead, you blink at him once, twice, three times, fatigue weighing heavily on your features as you struggled to keep your eyes open.Â
âWhat?â You murmur, shaking your head as if that would clear up the mental blockage.
âIâm in love with you,â he repeats, firmer this time.Â
You grab his wrist and drag him inside your dorm, blinded by the harshness of the hallway lights illuminating the outline of his figure. Turning on the softer light on your desk, you take a seat on the edge of your bed, gazing down at your hands. Veritas, however, stays near your door, annoyingly muscular arms flexed over his chest.
âI have so many questions,â you grumble, rubbing your eyes. âWhy are you awake? Youâre always asleep by 11 to get your ass up at 6 to exercise, or whatever.âÂ
âAre you avoiding the main point, or just stupid?â He grabs you by the shoulders and shakes. âI love you.âÂ
âExcuse me! You were banging bullets on my dorm room, Iâm disorientated right now, not stupid- what?â
Itâs almost like his statement from earlier only pierces through your brain now with the way you freeze, eyes morphing into something akin to disbelief and shock. He sees all the changes in your expression in the dimness of the room, nervously biting his cheek with every subtle shift.
âDid⊠I hear that right?â You whisper after what feels like an eternity. âYou love me?â
He nods. âFor a few years now.âÂ
âWhy didnât you tell me?â
âAm I not doing so in this very moment?âÂ
Tonight has been nothing but agitating for him. First, he was kept awake by the pounding of his heart and the burning desire to see you, significantly delaying his sleep until Veritas decided to cast all caution into the wind, running to your dorm all the way on the other side of the University. Now, he is trying to pour his heart onto your hands, all because of a moment of impulsivity and bull-headed stubbornness, and a secret he cannot keep to himself any longer.
He may be stubborn (as are all geniuses), but Veritas is never impulsive. All truths will come to light eventually, no matter how hard he tries to hide them.Â
âWhile I accept that my feelings may not be reciprocated, can you at least say something rather than stare at me blankly?â Thereâs an unfamiliar look of concern in his eyes, contrasting the usual pride and arrogance he always wears.
What happened to the Veritas Ratio you know? Who is this man by your feet?
âNo- thatâs not. I⊠I love you too, I have for a while now, but everything about this is⊠just⊠unbelievable.â
âWhy?âÂ
âYouâre aeons out of my league, Veritas. I never once considered you would return my feelings.â
He stifles back a laugh, dropping his large hands off your shoulders and clutching the mattress on either side of you. You wonât forget about the way the sheets crumple beneath his grip, or the way his head hangs, bangs tickling your legs.
Bravely, you raise a hand to his hair, running through it. Seemed like he could use the comfort.
âYou make me too damn nervous,â he breathes, a hand coming to clutch at his chest.Â
âNever thought Iâd live to see the day you admit you get nervous.âÂ
âWhyâs that?â
âThe only thing bigger than your brain is your ego.â
His confession, and everything about that night, was unorthodox, never predicting that youâd end the day curled up next to Veritas, or the long relationship that would follow.

could we get benji with reader and heâs jealous of the braken boys liking you
There was no mistaking the fact that Aeron Bracken had taken somewhat of a liking to you, much to Benjicotâs dismay.
Perhaps it was because you were with him so the brunette was eager to get under his skin by getting close to you? Poison your mind into thinking him as a better choice as he smiled sweetly at you, bringing your hand to his lips all the while keeping his eyes on your every expression.
Regardless of the motive Benji didnât like it, the Bracken bastard thought himself slick with his honeyed words, but Benjicot could see through Aeron as well one could see through clear glass. The man was brazen with his actions, even more so when he was aware of Benjicotâs presence, and would even glance over at him from time to time to gauge his reaction towards every move he made towards you as though goading him into acting out.
The mousey faced prick brought Benjiâs blood to a boil quicker than most but it was made even worse when you were being used to bait him into snapping. Even now as he, Kermit and Oscar came back from training, laughing and joking with one another as they playfully pushed and shoved each other as brothers do despite the ache in their muscles.
âI bet youâre more than eager to see y/n arenât you Benji?â Oscar asked teasingly as he nudged his friend in the side, chuckling at the sight of his friendâs cherry red blush that stretched up towards the tips of his ears. âOh look at him Kermit, our precious little Benji boy is blushing about his spouse, how sweet.â He adds as Kermit smiled at the sight.
âOh youâre right Oscar! The manâs cheeks are about as ripe as freshly picked cherries!â Kermit exclaims, unfazed when Benjicot smacked him in the chest, if anything it made the Tully want to tease his lovesick friend even more. âI bet you thought about them the entire time you were with us, wishing that youâd be where with them, probably under the Weirwood tree trading kisses and words of love.â
âOh piss off the pair of you.â Benji said under his breath as he tried to hide how accurate their words were, he did indeed think of you often when he was away with the lads, growing impatient the longer he was void of your comforting presence. However something mustâve caught his friendâs attention as Oscar and Kermit stopped, looking at something in front of them and just as Benjicot was about to question them, the smile on his face drops. Ahead of them standing far too close to you for his liking was Aeron Bracken, who looked as though he was in the midst of telling you a story that you didnât believe in the slightest was true.
Benjicot has grown sick and tired of Aeron constantly being near you, it was obviously that the Bracken cunt was intentionally ignoring that you were his, that you were taken and happily so in hopes that he could somehow worm his way between the two of you. Benjicot could feel the fire within his chest become an raging inferno, everything with him burned with the need to pummel the mouse faced Bracken into a pulp, bruised knuckles be damaged if it were to get you away from him.
He had held back for much longer then he intended, so the anger and frustration from the past times that Aeron tried making a move towards you, whether it be by brushing a stray strand of hair from your face or not so subtle glances towards your lips, were resurfacing to the forefront of Benjiâs mind as he felt his breath become more ragged and his hands clenched tight until his knuckles were white as bone. The lack of action taken mustâve given Aeron Bracken the impression that he could try to move in on you whenever he was out of reach to do anything about it.
However that was all going to change rather quickly as Benjicot was picking up his pace with Oscar and Kermit struggling to keep up with him, but Benji was seeing red and seething with unbridled anger that only seem to threaten to burn him alive if he didnât find an outlet soon. âBracken!â He yells with the anger of a man channeling his entire houses distain as he closes the distance between himself and Aeron, practically all up in his face as Oscar and Kermit stood by your side.
âBlackwood.â Aeron said back with equal disdain as he tried to stand tall, hand on the hilt of his sword.
âDonât you think youâve overstayed your welcome?â Benjicot asked as he made sure you were well and truly hidden behind him from Aeronâs eyes, even going so far as to move in tandem of the brackens dark eyes as they shifted, keeping himself in his line of view and nobody else. âFor Iâm certain my spouse has had their fill of your face to last an entire lifetime, consisting with how often you keep trying to make them see reason by being with you like the conniving cunt that you are.â Benjicot adds in a low growl.
âThey need someone devoted to them.â Aeron spat back as he stepped up in Benjicotâs face, ânot someone whoâs fucking off to play knights with his mates.â The Bracken then gestures to Oscar and Kermit who glared back at him
âAnd you think you are?â Benji asked rhetorically, he wanted to laugh, truly he did as he ran his tongue over his teeth because who the fuck did Aeron think he was to say such pure shit and believe it to be truth? Whether it was taught by his rat of an uncle Benji couldnât care in the slightest, for it only further proved to him that Brackens would gladly further themselves through lies and altering historical events to better suit their own image in the eyes of greater houses.
âI know i am, I-â
âStop!â You exclaimed, pushing both Benji and Aeron away from one another, causing them to look at you in bewilderment. âIâve forced myself for listen for long enough to be now at my wits end.â You looked to Aeron and crossed your arms over your chest. âAeron, I have made it abundantly clear on multiple occasions that my heart lies with lord Blackwood from now until my last breath, and yet you still persist in chasing something that has no need nor want for you. It makes you look desperate.â Oscar and Kermit snorted at Aeronâs expense, but were silenced when you looked at them with a stern glare as you looked to Benjicot with a soft expression.
âBenji,â you uttered softly as you reached up to hold his face, to which he was quick to melt into, âI need you to put more trust in me for I am not someone in constant need of saving, I can hold my own with or without you.â You tell him and while he wanted to say something, Benji decided against it and let you speak the rest of your mind to him. âYou hold my heart, is that not enough to reassure you that Iâd never look into the eyes of another man when my head is filled with thoughts of you and only you?â You add as you looked deeply into his stormy eyes that have now became a calm ocean under your touch and words.
Jealously still flowed through him but at a rate of which he could barely feel the influence of the green eyed monster, no more as more as he could the gentle fluttering of a butterflies wings, and yet he felt a sense of guilt settle in his stomach upon realising that you thought that he didnât trust you in the presence of another man, Bracken or otherwise without feeling a tinge of jealously.
âI trust you wholeheartedly.â Benjicot tells you softly as he holds your waist, pulling you in close, completely disregarding everybody else as his eyes remained on yours. âAnd I apologise for ever making you think that I didnât when I shouldâve just said something instead so that doubt wouldâve have been able to grow in your heart.â The young lord then rested his forehead against your own, breathing you in as he tightened his hold on you, pulling you closer until you were flushed against his chest. âI shall learn to do better by you and for you from this day forth, I swear it upon the old gods and I swear it upon to you, my heart. I may become jealous but that does not reflect my distrust in you but more so in others who seek your heart.â Benjicot finishes as he looking deeply into your eyes.
You sighed, knowing that you could never truly be angry at Benjicot, not when he looked at you they way he did now, as though you were the only one worth looking at for the rest of his life however long that maybe. âThis is still up for discussion.â You told him as you went to bid Aeron farewell, only to see that he had already left in a strope, shrugging your shoulders as you Oscar, Kermit and Benjicot left to head back to Raventree hall; Only to tug Benjicot to stop once Ocar and Kermit were out of earshot to whisper to him, âyouâre quite handsome when youâre jealous.â Before pressing a kiss to his lips quickly as you ran to catch up to the Tully brothers with Benjicot following shortly after with a smile on his face.

SO going to request an imagine of sylus finding you at a nightclub when you decided to go out with Tara and a few other hunters one night cause I love youâre writing đ€ maybe when itâs still in the early stages of their relationship but heâs wanting to make his claim obvious, even if everyone is wasted!
jealous sylus âą imagine
As you laughed with your friends, sharing stories and teasing one another, you caught a glimpse of Sylus across the room. He leaned against the bar, his presence commanding even in the thrumming crowd. He was dressed sharply, exuding an aura of danger and allure that turned heads, but his eyes were locked onto you.
For a moment, you felt a thrill at the sight of him but it was quickly overshadowed by a hint of mischief in your heart. You turned back to your friends, flashing them a playful grin as you swayed to the music, completely unaware of the storm brewing within Sylus.
From his spot, Sylusâs jaw tightened as he watched you, laughter bubbling up between you and Tara. He knew he shouldnât feel this wayâjealousy wasnât an emotion he easily entertained. Yet, seeing you smile and flirt with the others ignited a possessive fire in him that he struggled to control.
âLook at herâ he muttered to himself, his voice low and slightly irritated. âDoes she even realize what sheâs doing?â
His gaze remained fixed on you, the way your laughter lit up the dimly lit room making his heart race with a mix of pride and frustration. He took a sip of his drink, trying to maintain his cool demeanor but inside he was losing his composure. The sight of you flirting and dancing with others stirred something primal within him, a protective instinct that was impossible to ignore.
âHey! Sylus!â Tara called out, waving him over with a grin.
You glanced back, surprised to see him, your eyes lighting up. âWhat are you doing here?â
âJust making sure my little kitten is safe,â he replied smoothly, masking the possessiveness in his tone. But the way he stepped closer, shoulders squared and gaze sharp, conveyed an unspoken warning to anyone who dared to look at you.
You laughed, the sound melodic in the chaos of the club. âIâm fine! Just having fun!â
âFun?â he echoed, his voice low but playful, though the glint in his eyes suggested otherwise. âI see you having too much fun.â
You nudged Tara, laughing even harder. âSee? Sylus is just jealous!â
His expression didnât change, but you could see the way his fingers tightened around his glass, the subtle flicker of annoyance crossing his features. âJealous? No sweetie, just protecting whatâs mine.â
As the night progressed, Sylus stood by watching you dance and chat, his internal struggle growing. Every time you threw your head back in laughter, his chest tightened. He could feel himself slipping into the depths of jealousy, the heat rising within him at the thought of anyone else getting too close.
When you turned to your friends, leaning in for a secretive whisper, he stepped forward, a possessive presence suddenly looming over you. âTime to goâ he stated, his tone brokering no argument.
You turned, surprise etched on your face. âBut weâre justââ
âNo âbutsââ he interrupted, voice firm but still playful. âYouâve had enough fun for one night.â
Your friends exchanged glances, clearly amused by Sylusâs sudden appearance and his claim over you. Tara shot you a conspiratorial grin, stifling a laugh as Sylus took your hand, leading you away from the thrumming chaos.
âSeriously?â you said, laughter still in your voice. âYou canât just pull me away because youâre jealous!â
âIâm not jealousâ he insisted, though the slight tightening of his grip on your hand suggested otherwise. âI just donât want you to be the center of attention for every guy in this club.â
âMe? Iâm just having fun!â you retorted, but you couldnât help the smile that crept onto your face.
âYeah, fun that involves too many eyes on you,â he replied, finally allowing a smirk to play at his lips. âYouâre mine, kittenâ
His words sent a thrill through you, the possessiveness in his tone igniting a warmth deep within. âOkay, okay! I get it!â you laughed, relishing the attention he was giving you, despite the way he pretended to be annoyed.
âLetâs get out of here before I have to start marking my territoryâ he teased, his eyes dark with amusement and something deeper, a promise of more to come.
You rolled your eyes, but the flutter in your chest told you just how much you liked this side of him. As he led you out into the cool night air, you felt the weight of his presence beside you, a comfort that wrapped around you like a protective cloak. And despite the teasing, it was clear: Sylus was claiming you as his own, jealousy and all.

subtle things captain john price does for you
masterlist | simon ghost riley version
captain price always promised himself to not have favorites. but all of that changes when youâre recruited by the task force. it's only then that john realizes he might not be that good at keeping promises after all. he conceals it well but letâs be real, heâs not fooling anyone.
a firm believer of acts of service as the best way of expressing his pent up emotions (he feels like heâs gonna die before ever confessing). so heâll do such nice things. from letting you sleep in his bed, to taking first watch, to ensuring that youâre always comfortable, well fed and warm. he also offered you his cigar once and had a laughing fit when you choked as he pat your back.
after mission celebrations at a local bar, he has absolutely cute drunk pictures/blurry selfies of the entire crew which he later looks at smiles. he will absolutely escort you home, let you sleep on his shoulder and even carry you. âneed help getting up?â prays you donât remember it in the morning.
ALWAYS looks to you for approval. he doesnât care if there are more decorated people present in the room, heâll always look at you as if itâs just you and him. âyouâre with me, yeah?â and he listens to your suggestions more than others. any time he has something mischievous up his sleeve, he looks at you with a smirk, head tilting because he knows youâll read him.
he feels so protective over you. during missions, always checks where you are, what youâre doing. god forbid if anyone letâs him know that youâre in harm's way, he will claw his way out of hell if he has to, to get to you. âyou alright?â youâre the first person he visits after the missions are over. âwhatâs wrong?â he asks, softly, his head tilting in your direction, eyes full of concern.
he enjoys your presence so much, especially if you and him are working in the same office. he feels at peace having you near him. he occasionally offers you tea and shares a sarcastic quip here and there, ensuring that the atmosphere is comfortable. he also loves it when you just talk. you have all of his attention and he picks on so many details about you that he tucks away to think about later. (cannot stand to see you upset because it makes him upset).
when it comes to you, his memory is so incredibly sharp. can easily remember your likes, dislikes, stories of your childhood, everything. he has you committed to memory and he can absolutely figure it out when somethingâs out of place. ânice haircut. it suits you.â
when it comes to training, he enjoys gun fights so much!! and heâs so smug about it too. âi know you can do better than this.â to âthought you were skilled enough to take on me?â also coaches you side by side because like hell is he gonna take a risk when it comes to you. âknew you could do itâ he remarks, a grin on his face.
heâs your biggest supporter and itâs very evident. from him saying, âgood jobâ on comms to âiâm proud of youâ and the one time he accidentally let âthatâs my girlâ slip. simon snickered because he knew captain had such a soft spot for you.

Author's note: This is a dark story. Be aware that reader is very young in this story. I do not consent to this in real life. THIS IS JUST A STORY!!!
Age is just a number (Part 4)
The morning sun filtered softly through the curtains of the bedroom, casting a golden glow over the room. Carlos stirred first, his eyes fluttering open as the warmth of the sunlight brushed against his face. He was met with the peaceful sight of Yn nestled against him, her head resting on his chest, her arm draped lazily across his torso. Her long hair fanned out over the pillows, catching the morning light in a way that made her look angelic.
Carlos smiled to himself, taking a moment to soak in the tranquility of the moment. This was his favorite of his life, he decidedâwaking up beside this beautiful girl, feeling her warmth against him, and knowing she will be his forever. He sighed contentedly, gently shifting his position.
Thatâs when he realized where his hand had wandered in the night.
His fingers were under her soft cotton pajama top, resting gently over her breast. His first instinct was to pull away, but as he shifted slightly, Yn stirred against him, pressing herself closer in her sleep. Carlos froze, not wanting to wake her.
And then he felt itâa subtle change under his palm as her nipple hardened slightly against his hand. His breath hitched as his mind raced. He hadnât meant to find himself in this position, but now that he was, it was impossible not to notice how soft and warm she felt under his touch.
Carlos tilted his head down to look at her. Yn was still fast asleep, her lips parted slightly, her breathing slow and steady. Her peaceful expression made her look even younger, making his heart ache with love and longing, but it also heightened the tension coursing through his body.
For a moment, he debated moving his hand away. But then his thumb brushed against her skinâjust the slightest movement against her nippleâand the sensation sent a shiver down his spine. His breathing deepened as he allowed his thumb to slowly stroke back and forth, the motion gentle and hesitant, almost as if testing the waters.
Yn shifted slightly in her sleep, letting out a soft sigh. Carlos stilled, his eyes fixed on her face, waiting to see if she would wake up. When she didnât, he relaxed slightly, though his heart was still pounding in his chest.
He couldnât deny the effect this was having on him. His pants tightened as his body responded, heat pooling low in his abdomen. He felt a flicker of guiltâthis was an innocent young girl and she was asleep. But at the same time, the love and desire he felt for her were overwhelming.
Carlos closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to steady himself. He didnât want to ruin this peaceful moment or wake her up before she was ready. Gently, he moved his hand away, slipping it out from under her shirt and letting it rest on her hip instead.
He pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head, whispering, âBuenos dĂas, mi amor,â though he knew she couldnât hear him. He debated for a moment, before letting his lips gently kiss her own. It might have not been a real kiss, but for Carlos, it felt greater than anything else in the whole world.
Carefully, he untangled himself from her and slid out of bed, doing his best not to disturb her. Yn let out a small, sleepy hum but didnât wake, turning onto her side and hugging a pillow close. Carlos smiled at the sight, his heart swelling with affection.
Pulling on a pair of sweatpants and a T-shirt, he padded out of the bedroom and made his way to the kitchen. The house was quiet, the only sound coming from the birds chirping outside. Carlos set to work, deciding to surprise Yn with breakfast.
He moved with practiced ease, cracking eggs into a bowl and whisking them for an omelet. As he cooked, his mind wandered back to the bedroom and the way she had felt in his arms. A small smile tugged at his lips as he thought about how lucky he was to have her in his life.
His thoughts drifted again to his friends. He couldnât even imagine what Lando would say about him now, if he saw what he just did.
He would probably never talk to Carlos again, Lewis would call the police and Charles, poor Charles, would faint because of Carlos reckless actions.
Despite his head being filled with thoughts like that, he couldn't forget how amazing her body felt under his hand.
And in this moment, he knew, he would never stop loving Yn. Even if it was just the beginning.

It took us both a while to draft what we wanted to write for him since he's not a very expressive character and we wanted to try a more subtle approach. If you have any ideas or suggestions for any of them, let us know!! -Tea
Count word: 3.1k (new longest post for now)
Tw: yandere behavior, kind of flirty reader, stalking, kidnaping?, written in you/yours, overall soft yandere, gaslighting, drugging (this really still counts as soft yandere??? believe me, yes), light paranoia, clueless reader
Your eyes scan the papers in your hand, your mind still focused rather on the man that handed you them, sitting right across from him, more specifically, the comment he just murmured. None of the people he mentioned called your attention as much as himself did, perhaps he was more that he presented himself as? He seemed to know much more about you than heâs supposed to, so, was he a yandere as well? And if so, Why miss the chance to tease a potential yandere?Â
"Huh, so you think I should go out more often?"
"Well, I'm just concerned about your vitamin D intake, that's all. You need more sun Dear, for the sake of your health"
He smugly smirks at you like he's saying obvious facts that you should already know about yourself⊠though his smirk falters, his lips pressing into a tight line as he rethinks his words, though it was too late to retract them, it was your time to shine.
"Oh? Then why not help me with that yourself? You seem to keep a good track of my time outside for some reason, care to explain yourself, Honey?"
You steal his previous smirk, it now decorating your lips, curving them upwards smugly as he seems to sink into himself, his pen flipping between his fingers as a nervous fidget, scanning your expression, seemingly trying to understand what you were attempting to do with these witty remarks.
âDear, allow me to remind you, you came all the way here to have an obsessive partner after you walk out this door, I'm sure anyone in the list will love to fulfill the job, sadly, I'm not one of them, I'm deeply sorry if my previous comments left any space for this misunderstanding"
He seems to lifts up a wall between you and him with his formality as if attempting to keep things formal and cordial though his eyes tell a different story, his eyes, akin to a snakeâs narrow slightly, scanning your features as if daring you to continue this charade; a sweet chill runs down your spine, which only widens your smile further.
"Ow, come on, there's no need to lie so blatantly to my face, you know exactly why I'm here, and for that I can also tell exactly what is happening hereâ
He huffs, his fingers running through his black hair, messing up his slick back hairstyle into something much more fitting to match with his semi-formal attire.
"As I just said, I'm not a yandere, let's stop this little game, Dear, Iâm not sure how you arrived at this conclusion, little detectiveâŠ"
Those gray eyes glare at you without even missing a beat, narrowing further to make a subtle warning: quit fooling around. Do you care? No, honestly, him staring down at you only serves to fuel your burning curiosity about the man.
"Fine then, at least answer me this, how did you know i don't go out much?"
The man scoffs as if the answer was as obvious as looking in a mirror.
"Come on now, you are chronically online, I just made a lucky guess"
⊠Gotcha
"My screen time is something even weirder for you to know for certain though, don't you think?"
A silence ensues, tension and realization thick in the air as his posture changes completely, from relaxed and smug to tense and anxious, he leans forward, eyes avoiding you suddenly, like he wasn't piercing you with his stare just a few seconds ago.
You let your question linger, knowing you won, knowing he had no way to protest your question seamlesslyÂ
"... don't tell management"
It was now your turn to sigh. Perhaps he was being truthful and this was just a big misunderstanding. Maybe his âbackground checkâ on you wasn't something he was supposed to do ethically speaking, but something he felt compelled to do. Then again, they did have this incident with a fool attempting to illegitimately make a yandere harem. Perhaps it was time to let this go, you tried at least, but being overly pushy could get you kicked out and leaving empty handed wasn't something you were willing to do after finally finding the courage to enter the shop.
 "Well, I don't know, I choose Oliver"
You said, the smirk in your lips faltering into a soft defeated smile, shrugging as you chose someone at random, pointing blindly at the papers.
"He's already purchased"Â
He counters your response abruptly, his tone still formal yet with an air of defensiveness. You wondered, if he was already purchased, then why show it to you at all?
"Damn, okay, then LioâŠ"
You quickly point again at a random profile, barely even reading the name then scanning his expression, his head shaking even before you managed to pronounce the name fully.
"Sorry"
He responded with a shrug, his shoulders relaxing as if the tension he felt before was gone.
You smile at him once again, well, thankfully you weren't just flirting with the wrong target.
"Youâre doing this on purpose"
You announce, amused by the realization, a smile widening in your lips as one seems to simultaneously tug at the corners of his, a mischievous grin adorning his sly stare, those eyes bearing into yours like a wicked fox.
"You choose me, be loyal to your own decisions⊠though, really, don't tell management. I do maintain I'm not some sort of obsessed maniac, Dear"
That's the most suspicious thing a person can say in a yandere shop but you take it.
"I care next to nothing about management⊠so, it's a date?".
(...)
You leave the store, hands empty, but not really. You walk with an extra cheer in your step, you managed to get yourself a date with the seller of the damn shop, not one of the many names in those papers, but the shopkeeper, talk about a plot twist.Â
And so you make your way back home, waiting for the time to arrive, the time in which you'd meet up with the man outside of work in a sweet little restaurant down the same street where the shop is located. As you get yourself ready, checking your outfit, double checkingâŠtriple checking, your mind drifts to your conversation with the seller and the way everything he said seemed to avoid each and every one of your questions skillfully. You managed to get his number with the excuse of arranging the meeting time and place, yet⊠that was all, you didn't even get his name, did you?.Â
You are brought back to reality with the buzzing of your phone, a notification from an unknown number⊠though it was the sellers, how did he get your number? Sure, he gave you his, but he shouldn't have a way to contact you yet, that information wasn't even in the paperwork either since you never filled any forms out, you didn't purchase any of the yanderes.Â
» âHey, it's the shopkeeperâ
You raised a brow at your screen, watching as the little dots bobbed up and down, indicating he was still typing another message
» âjust checking if you're still up for this date you so boldly proposed. My shift is overâÂ
His texts are a little dry, yet you can feel the awkwardness from them already, he wasn't fooling anybody, he was nervous as hell.Â
You quickly type up a response, resuming your teasing over text like you never left the shop and so you text back and forth until the time arrives and you leave your home, walking down the street to the restaurant he sent you the location to. Once you got there, amusement tugged your lips up into a smile. This man, acting so unapproachable, so closed off, was eagerly waiting outside the restaurant with that classic âI'm just looking at my phoneâ stance, but damn he looked good.Â
He wasn't wearing that semi-formal suit from before, but rather a tight black shirt, jeans and a jacket. His hair was down and you had to admit, it looked way better that way. You check the time on your phone, you arrive just in time, you look relieved but canât help but wonder how the seller managed to close up shop, go back home, change and arrive before you when his last text was just a few minutes ago telling you his shift was over.
âaw, you arrived early to meet me? Itâs so cute how eager you are for someone who didn't even tell me his nameâ
You meet his gaze as you approach him with a playful demeanor, his smile still decorating his face as always.
He huffs, glancing up from his phone, his eyes crinkling in a mischievous grin. He pockets his phone and adjusts his jacket, leaning a little closer as he speaks
âOh, Dear, you got it all wrong, i just got here, but, i must sayâŠwaiting would have been worth it, you look stunningâÂ
He said with a soft chuckle and you nudged his shoulder in response to his compliment, though as you nudge him you feel how cold his jacket is, of course he didn't wait for you
âRight, anyways, you know, it's only fair that I get your name. I know you so desperately want to seem all mysterious and shit, but i need to know who I'm flirting withâ
You tease bluntly with a chuckle, he tenses up a little, looking away for a second, trying to disguise his blush by rolling his eyes at you.
âI suppose you could call me JadeâŠâ
âWell, jade, pleasure to meet youâ
You said trying to imitate his tone of voice as he guides the way inside the restaurant.
âSince I answered your question, it's only fair you answer mine, don't you agree?"
His gaze seems like he's taking notes of your every expression as he gently pulls a chair for you to sit on before he sits across from you.
"Are we doing a little bit of banter here? Huh, that's quite the contrary of what you been doing all day, but please, go on, I'm thrilled to know what you wish to know of me"
His eyes move to the menu, although you can say his entire focus was still on you⊠because of the fact he can't possibly read the menu when it's upside down.
"So, if I may ask⊠why did you choose to flirt with me when you came to the shop to get yourself a yandere?"
"Why not? You could say I went there to find someone that catches my eye, and jokes on you, my eyes were set on you the moment you opened that door to guide me into the store"
You restrain yourself not to giggle like a fool when the top of his ears turns red while he's attempting to keep his perpetually smiling facade, oblivious to his own reaction to your words.
"Then, do yo-"
His words quickly die on his throat as a waiter gets to your table, you didn't have the time to catch the small twitch of his eyebrows that lasted a second.
"Good evening, I will be your server for the night, what can I get started for you two?"
As you two order normally, you can't help but feel a sense of discomfort as the waiter always speaks focusing his eyes on you, but Jade doesn't seem to react so you dismissed it, you're only feeling weird because of the awkwardness of being on a first date, although you can't help but sigh faintly with relief after the server walks away.
"Well⊠anyways, since I replied to one of your questions, guess it's my turn!"
You said smiling, trying to brush off the weird feeling you just had, focusing on your task in hand: the date.
âso, why donât you tell me a little about your hobbies?â
You gaze at him while his head tilts slightly, as if doubting if to reply or just dodge the question like the past ones.
âWell, they differ depending on the time, Iâm the type of person that get a new one every once in a while but one that has stuck since high school is embroideryâ
Honestly, you can picture it, he does seem like the type of person who enjoys calm classy hobbies, old lady hobbies if you will. The image is sort of endearing.Â
"Since high school? Wow, what was your first piece?"
You feel relieved that he seems more open to conversation now that you both are formally on this date. Sadly for you and lucky for him, you focused so much on listening to his answers that you didn't catch the small blush dusting his cheeks.
"...It was a skull, edgy, I know. I really like how it turned out back then thoughâ
âA skull? Very edgy indeed, why-â
Your question was left hanging in the air as an arm interfered with your vision of Jade, the waiter placing your plates on the table with a polite smile. The interjection was a little awkward, but there's not much you can do about it, the waiter is just doing his job.
Though as you lower your voice to a stop, interrupted by the waiter, you see the slight hint of annoyance in Jadeâs face flick for a second just to disappear like it never happened, it makes you wonder if that was a hint of jealousy? It probably wasn't⊠your yandere rotten brain must be seeing things, right?
As you two indulge in conversation, enjoying your little date, you almost lose track of time. It feels like in the blink of an eye, the date was already at its final point, the only thing that popped your bubble was his phone ringing.
"...sorry, it's my boss, allow me to step out real quick, it won't take long I'm sure"
You nod to him before he makes his way to the restroom to pick up the call. Honestly you feel kind of sad that the dinner was reaching its end but well, you can't be that clingy on the first date.
As you ponder between when and where the perfect second date will be or if it's best to wait for him to ask for another, the waiter interrupts your thoughts, placing a glass of what looks like raspberry juice on the table.
"Excuse me sir, I didn't order this"
The waiter gives you a puzzled expression as if it were a competition who is more confused by the situation but is quick to giggle as if it was an inside joke of his before reassuring you.
"Oh, don't worry, it's already been paidâ
You didn't have time to ask further questions when the busy server was already on another table that needed him, well, it looks tasty anyways, why reject something when it's free?
You honestly feel like luck is on your side today; you got the confidence to try and flirt with Jade and successfully get yourself a really good date! And you also get a free drink as a way to celebrate your little achievement, so you take a big gulp.Â
Huh? Weird, you know the taste of raspberry by heart, why does it taste more bitter? Ugh, the fruit is probably not that fresh , even the consistency feels a little thicker too. Well, raspberry juice is supposed to be like that, perhaps you got too used to store bought and got yourself confused.
"Well, is not like a restaurant would sell 'expired juice' as their main drink, surely I'm just overthinking it"Â
You reason with yourself in a whisper as you set the drink aside, ugh, maybe you drank too big of a sip, you start to feel like you got brain freeze or something.
(âŠ)
âDear, are you feeling well? Do you need to go to the restroom?â
The sound of his relaxed voice quickly fills your ears, your mind feels hazy but you nevertheless try focusing on him as he sits back down to the table, catching his expression changing from the usual laid back grin to a worried frown. You didn't even notice when he came back from his work call, not until he was right in front of you, it's like time passed while your brain was stopped, something wasn't goodâŠ
"Did something happen? Do you need a pain-killer? Did the food upset your stomach?"
The rapid fire questions overfill your already overwhelmed mind as his hands hold your shoulders before he places his forehead against yours to check your temperature and although you tried, your currently unstable self only managed to hardly mumble some words.
"I⊠don't know, I just drank that"
You focus your gaze on the glass of juice and he follows your gaze with a frown as if his laid back mask is cracked.
"the color is slightly off and ice is only floating up to the middle of the glassâŠ"
Was there really something wrong with your drink? What was in there? How bad is it? What's going to happen to you? Was it the waiter? Was there someone in the restaurant you didn't see? Why is this happening today?
"Dear, focus on me, okay? Don't worry, you're fine, just dizzy, I will make sure you are okay, alright? Take a deep breath for me darling"Â
Through your dizziness you watch as he moves skillfully and quickly, paying the bill as fast as he could to take you out of there, his arms tightly wrapped around you to steady your wobbly stance, guiding you out of the busy restaurant. It's almost as if you were drunk, which didn't make sense, you felt yourself slipping further out of your senses, sounds muffled and your vision blurry, your legs and hands feeling tingly with each step you took with his assistance.Â
"Jade, I-"
"Don't worry Dear, I will take care of you, just trust me, alright?"
You can help but feel grateful that even in this awful situation, you managed to have someone so gentle and caring with you, but before you can try to babble a thank you, you feel your mind shut off like an old tv⊠don't worry, you are being taken care of, Dear.
He just wants to look after you, it would be so creepy if he left you unconscious at your place since he's not supposed to know your address yet, so, guess the only choice is him letting you crash at his apartment, it's fine, you will find yourself at home there, it's really cozy!Â
. . .
Wait, did you really believe him? That's kind of hilarious, try guessing again.
sorry for any misspellings or weird sentence structure âŁ

Maybe You're Enough
Richard Grayson x Insecure! Reader
Angst with some fluff and comforting because Im feeling nice today<3
Leaned against the railing of the rooftop and staring out over the city as the cool night air bit at your skin felt just a little bit more cold tonight. The glow of Gotham's lights flickered below, but they couldn't chase away the dark thoughts that clouded your mind. You had tried to shake it off, but every time Richard was around Barbara, you felt a pang in your chest, a familiar ache that had only grown stronger with each passing day.
It had been months since you and Dick started dating, and while everything had seemed perfect at first, things had started to shift in subtle, unsettling ways. He had always been close to Barbara â that was something you knew when you first met him. But recently, it felt like the bond between them had deepened. They had been through so much together, fighting side by side, and the way they interacted, the way they spoke to each other... it made you feel like you were just a distraction. Like you were the one who didnât belong.
You werenât jealous, or at least you didnât want to be. You trusted Dick. You knew he cared about you. But the quiet moments where he would zone out while talking to Barbara, or the long hours they spent alone training together in the cave, left you feeling more like an afterthought.
Sighing, you pushed yourself away from the railing and walked toward the stairs, your mind racing with thoughts you couldnât quite control. You needed space. You needed to clear your head.
But before you could reach the door, you heard his voice.
âHey, you alright?â
Dick was standing at the top of the stairs, his eyes soft but concerned. The moment you saw him, the weight in your chest doubled. How could you explain how you were feeling without sounding irrational? Without making him feel guilty for something you werenât sure he even realized?
âYeah, Iâm fine,â you lied, giving him a small smile that didnât quite reach your eyes.
He raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it. âYouâre a terrible liar, you know that?â
You sighed, finally looking at him. His hair was tousled from the wind, and he wore that soft, caring expression that always made your heart skip. You knew he loved you. You knew he would never intentionally hurt you. But sometimes, you couldnât help but wonder if your presence in his life was just... temporary. He had so many other people who understood him in ways you couldnât. People like Barbara.
âItâs justâŠâ you hesitated, the words hard to form, âI canât help but feel like... maybe you care about Babs more. I mean, you two have history. And Iâm just... Iâm just here. Iâm not a part of all of that. And I donât know... it just makes me feel like Iâm not enough.â
The moment the words left your mouth, you regretted them. Dick's expression faltered, and you could see the guilt in his eyes. You wanted to take it all back, but you couldnât. The feeling had been building inside you for so long.
Dick closed the distance between you, gently cupping your face in his hands. His touch was soft, grounding. âHey, look at me,â he whispered. You met his gaze, eyes shining with unshed tears you refused to let fall. âI care about Babs, I always will. But that doesnât change how I feel about you. Youâre not a replacement, and youâre not just a distraction. Iâm with you because I want to be. Iâm here with you because you make me feel whole. I donât want anyone else, not like I want you.â
You felt the lump in your throat tighten, your breath shaky as you struggled to hold it together. âBut what if Iâm not enough? What if...â
âStop,â he interrupted, his voice firm but kind. âYou are more than enough. Youâve always been more than enough for me. Iâm sorry if Iâve made you feel otherwise. Iâm not perfect, and I mess up sometimes. But Iâm here, with you. And Iâm not going anywhere.â
For a moment, you just stared at him, feeling his words sink in. The weight on your chest slowly started to lift as the sincerity in his eyes calmed your restless heart. He was right. Maybe you had been overthinking things. Dick Grayson, the man who had seen and done so much, was here, with you, wanting you.
âIâm sorry,â you whispered, shaking your head. âI shouldnât have... I shouldnât have doubted you.â
Dick smiled gently, pulling you into his arms. âNo, donât apologize. I get it. Iâll do better to show you how much you mean to me, okay?â
You nodded against his chest, feeling safe in his embrace. The night seemed a little less dark now. The weight of your insecurities had lifted, if only for the moment. With him by your side, it felt just a little bit warmer during the cold Gotham night.
âYou mean the world to me,â he murmured, his voice a soothing whisper in the night.

đ»ick đ°rimes âŠ
as your boyfriend !
pairing : rick grimes x reader warnings : slightly suggestive, fluff wc : 700+ a/n : i feel like i write every single character exactly the same OR every single character i hyperfixate on has the same kinda qualities? anyways this may be very ooc đą
ê© rick isnât one for grand gestures, but heâs constantly doing little things to make you feel safe and cared for. if youâre walking together, heâll keep his hand on the small of your back, guiding you gently and staying close. itâs a subtle but protective gesture, like heâs always making sure youâre by his side
ê© when the two of you are alone, and the tension is thick in the air, rick canât help but pull you close, his hand firmly cupping your jaw as he stares down at you, almost like heâs debating something. he doesnât say much, but the way his lips hover over yours, breath mixing with yours, tells you all you need to know. when he finally kisses you, itâs deep, slow, almost like heâs taking his time to savor every second of you
ê© he has this habit of pulling you aside just to make sure youâre okay, even when heâs busy. heâll brush his hand over your shoulder or cup your face for a moment, his thumb grazing your cheek. itâs like he needs to reassure himself that youâre right there, safe and sound
ê© when heâs feeling affectionate, heâs surprisingly tender. heâll wrap an arm around your shoulders and pull you close, murmuring quietly in your ear. itâs not much, but the warmth in his voice makes you feel like youâre the only person in his world, even just for those few moments
ê© after a long, hard day, when itâs just the two of you and the world feels like itâs finally stopped spinning, rick will press you against the nearest (reasonably) comfortable surface, his body fully against yours. heâs gentle at first, kissing you with this intensity that feels like heâs pouring everything into it. his hands trail down your body, but always with this softness - his touch just shy of desperate, as if heâs afraid youâll slip away
ê© whenever he catches you stressed or worn out, heâll make time to be with you, even if itâs just sitting with you quietly. he doesnât push you to talk but just holds your hand, his fingers tracing slow circles against your palm. sometimes, heâll pull you in for a long hug, resting his chin on your head, letting you feel his steady presence
ê© heâs surprisingly sweet when youâre alone together at night. heâll run his fingers through your hair, his voice low and comforting as he tells you about little memories from before everything changed. itâs rare for him to talk about the past, so you know itâs special when he opens up like that
ê© when heâs feeling playful, heâll sometimes sneak up on you, wrapping his arms around you from behind. heâll press a gentle kiss to your neck, his scruff tickling your skin as he mumbles something like, âcaught ya.â his laugh is soft, and he loves the way you lean into him, even when you act surprised
ê© on hard days, heâll pull you close and just hold you, his hand resting on the back of your head as he whispers that youâre the reason he keeps fighting. heâs not one to talk about his feelings, but when he does, he makes every word count, leaving you with a warmth that lasts long after
ê© in the rare quiet moments, heâll look at you with this soft, intense expression, like heâs memorizing every detail of your face. heâll brush his thumb along your cheek, his voice barely above a whisper as he tells you, âi donât know what iâd do without you.â itâs as close as he gets to being vulnerable, and those words always stay with you
ê© rick loves to sit with you under the stars after a long day, his arm wrapped around your shoulders. heâll pull you close, resting his chin on your head, and share stories from before everything changed. when you laugh, he canât help but smile, and heâll nudge you playfully, whispering how youâre his reason to keep going before pressing a soft kiss to your forehead

Hello! Can I request dating headcanons for michikatsu (modern?), I read your kokushibo one and I really loved it, and I was curious about his modern version. If you can, then id love it! Thank you :)-yours truly, anon
Modern!Kokushibo | Dating Headcanons
Pairings âModern AU KokushibĆ/Michikatsu Ă Reader
A/N âOfc, anon! Although I am afraid I did sort of rush this one a bit as I did not have much time at hand; but I truly hope this suffices! <33 [I also hope I didn't make this post too grey and depressing.. lmao]
đ€ËËËMasterlist
âȘïžKokushibĆ was a serious, no nonsense man, fully devoted to his role as the most reliable secretary for one of the biggest politicians in the country, Muzan Kibutsuji.Â
âȘïžThe idea of entering a relationship, marrying, and eventually starting a family was far from his thoughts; KokushibĆ simply had no interest in those aspects of life. To him, a family was just something that put extra responsibilities on your shoulders.
âȘïžHis true passion lay solely in his work and his dedication to being an iaido masterânothing else truly held any significance in his heart. In truth, he found it preferable for him to steer clear of romantic entanglements at all.
âȘïžOr at least, that's what he used to believe.. until he met you. Â
âȘïžMany might assume KokushibĆ would be drawn to someone similar to himselfâcold and unyielding, stoic and strict. However, the truth is quite the opposite.
âȘïžHe would find himself drawn to someone who is soft-spoken, someone who is emotionally mature, and conducts themselves with grace. Not the overly dainty darling type, but rather someone whose demeanour brings forth sensitivity while also being able to stand firm, knowing when to speak up.
KokushibĆ admires hard work and discipline, and he seeks someone with a determination that mirrors his own.
âȘïžEven if KokushibĆ would initially not openly admit his feelings for you, and despite his attempts to maintain an air of indifference around you and in front of others, his actions revealed a different storyâone that clearly indicated his interest in you.Â
âȘïž At first, KokushibĆ would simply engage in conversations with you, getting to know you better as well as sharing some aspects of his own life. Simple gestures such as opening the door for you, pulling back the seat for you, and whatnot.
âȘïžIf you were to reciprocate the feelings back to him, his feelings for you would only deepen. [If not, then he would be mature about it and apologise for any time spent.]Â Â
âȘïž"KokushibĆ's" feelings would slowly grow for you, and you both would officially enter into a relationship. It was during this period that 'Kokushibo' chose to share his true name with you, inviting you to call him "Michikatsu" in private instead of using his alias.  Â
âȘïžAnd that would also be the period when you would start to notice a change in Michikatsu, as he became noticeably warmer towards you.
âȘïžHis once simple acts of service slowly turned into thoughtful gifts. He often surprised you with boxes of chocolates, left beautiful flowers on your work desk, and expressed concern for your well-being.
âȘïžWhenever you were late getting home, he would call to check on you, ensuring you were safe. Many a times, he would order some tea or coffee for you during breaks. Â
âȘïžBeing in a relationship with Michikatsu meant that nobody else could even dare to look at you the wrong way, considering how big and imposing he really was. Subtle gestures as he made it clear to everyone that you were only his.Â
âȘïžWhile Michikatsu wasn't overly affectionate, especially in public, he would often at times hold your hand or gently place his hand on your lower back to guide you through the streets, letting his large frame shield you from any unwanted bumps or pushes.Â
âȘïžMichikatsu was an imposing man, difficult to approach, but towards youâhe had developed an increasingly softer side.
âȘïžHe would remember everything you would tell him, noting each and every detail about you and remembering everything.Â
âȘïžOne time, you remember briefly mentioning your favourite band/TV series to him just once, and the very next day, he surprised you with tickets to see them perform live/watch it when it aired in the theatres.Â
âȘïžMichikatsu, although stoic, would be incredibly attentive and caring towards you. And once he is set on being your lover, he will dedicate himself to showing you that he is the right choice.
âȘïžHe will court you and pursue you with genuine effort.

summary: to say that leo valdez is absolutely enamored with you would be an understatement. so, why don't you like him back?
pairing: leo valdez x fem!reader
word count: 2.3k
LEO VALDEZ does not just like you. no, it is much more than that.
leo's feelings for you surpass mere affection. his love for you is deep-rooted and unshakable, transcending the limitations of the heart and mind. he doesn't just love you with his heart, which can falter or stop altogether. nor does he solely love you with his mind, which may fail him one day. no, leo valdez loves you with every fiber of his being, every inch of his soul, and every essence of his existence. his love for you is all-encompassing, unequivocal, and forever enduring.
so why don't you like him back?
when you first arrived at camp, leo was immediately taken with you. while he had a reputation for falling for girls completely out of his league, this time was different. he knew deep down that he would do anything for you, even if it meant risking his own life. he couldn't pinpoint the exact moment he realized this, but he was sure that you were the one he was meant to be with. despite piper's concerns, leo was undeterred in his pursuit of you.
as you sat at your usual table in the dining pavilion, enjoying dinner with your cabinmates, you were completely immersed in the moment. laughter filled the air as you chatted about your day and shared stories of past quests. just as you took a bite of your dinner, you heard your name being called out loudly and persistently. turning your head in the direction of the voice, you found leo standing right in front of your table. as you tried to recall any previous interactions with him, confusion washed over you. you've only ever spoken to the boy about a grand total of once, and you don't even remember giving him your name.
leo slipped into the empty seat next to you, his smile beaming as he waited for your reaction. gasps escaped the mouths of several of your cabinmates, because, well, isn't it forbidden to sit at another god's table?
âsooo, is this seat taken?â he asked suavely, and you mentally rolled your eyes at his attempt at charm, knowing exactly where this was going.
"well, it wouldn't matter if it's taken or not, because you aren't supposed to be sitting here in the first place."
he only smiled dreamily, seemingly unfazed by your response. the tension in the air grew thicker, and someone let out a snort, unable to contain their amusement at the situation.
it took you a moment to piece together what was happening. leo's sudden changes in behavior around you, the not-so-subtle glances, the smiles, and the way his eyes would light up - it all made sense now, although you didn't want to admit it. leo valdez had a crush on you, and there was nothing you could do about it.
leo leaned forward on the table, his chin resting on his hand. he was brimming with enthusiasm, and you couldn't help but feel just slightly uncomfortable in his presence. "can i ask you something?" he inquired eagerly, his eyes fixed on you.
you sighed inwardly, not wanting to engage but feeling obligated to respond. "do i have a choice?" you quipped, attempting to mask your discomfort. leo didn't seem to notice, too caught up in his own enthusiasm.
suddenly, he pulled out a metal rose from his pocket, presenting it to you with a flourish. "wanna be my girlfriend?" he asked, a hopeful expression on his face.
your siblings snickered around you as your eyes widened in absolute horror. your face felt hot with embarrassment as you struggled to maintain your composure.
"i practically just met you!" you protested, feeling the need to state the obvious.
he had clearly anticipated a different response, going so far as to prepare a metal bouquet in anticipation of impressing you. however, his efforts were in vain. "i'm sorry, but no." you replied firmly, not giving him any room for negotiation.
it was clear that this was not a successful attempt at romance.
from that day on, it had become the norm for leo to actively pursue you, as he had made it his mission to win your heart. you couldn't deny that he put in a great deal of effort. and he was plenty consistent. for months.
you couldn't help but notice his constant presence, as he seemed to magically appear everywhere you went, making it impossible for you to ignore him.
despite his persistent efforts, leo never pressured you into anything you were not comfortable with. he respected your boundaries and always made sure that he did not cause you any discomfort. it was clear that he adored you, but he never allowed his feelings to dictate his actions towards you.
interestingly enough, it was the reason behind your initial hatred for leo that began to fade away. unfortunately for you, once that seed of doubt was planted, there was no going back. you found yourself unable to justify your previous animosity towards him, in fact, you began to feel guilty for the ill feelings you harbored towards the boy.
after leo's clumsy attempts at asking you out, things became quite awkward between the two of you. you did everything in your power to avoid him, convincing yourself that you loathed him. however, despite your best efforts to push him away, the universe seemed to conspire to bring the two of you together. in fact, you even found yourselves forming an unlikely bond that some might even consider a friendship. leo would somehow magically appear in the same places you happened to be (though he always insisted it was a coincidence), and you found yourself unable to shoo him away as you used to do. yet, despite this newfound closeness, leo's attempts to win your heart remained as elaborate and over-the-top as ever.
from writing your name in fire surrounded by a heart, to asking you out with grand gestures and signs, he never seemed to give up. unfortunately for him, all of his efforts were met with either an indifferent stare or a frown.
maybe your feelings towards leo had changed somewhat, but that did not make him any less unbearable.
"i just don't get it!" leo complained to piper during free time that day. "i thought me and y/n were making progress, but today she didn't even look at me!"
piper paused from sharpening her dagger and looked up at leo. "what makes you think you were making progress?"
"she let me sit next to her yesterday."
piper couldn't help but let out a laugh, quickly covering it up with a cough. "that was for like two minutes," she scoffed.
leo's face fell. "but i swear i saw her wink at me a few days ago!" he protested.
"she was only blinking in your general direction."
leo mock-glared at the girl. "seriously, you're like an aphrodite kid, aren't you supposed to know this stuff?"
piper rolled her eyes. "shut up. okay, but seriously, come on. think about it. leo, you tend to get infatuated easily and your crushes never last. it's inconsistent. she probably thinks your feelings for her will change once you find someone new."
leo took a step back, not expecting her answer. "but that's not gonna happen!" he retorted, eyes wide with exasperation. "i love her, i swear!"
"prove it to her then." piper responded, running her fingers through her choppy locks. "go find her and prove it."
and that's exactly what he was going to do.
it's been days since you last saw leo. the usual sight of him following you around, asking to hold your tote bag, or just plain flirting with you is now a distant memory. your tote bag, which he usually holds for you, is now slipping off your shoulder as you sit alone with a feeling of emptiness. you've only seen him run in and out of the workshop, waving at you with the same fire in his eyes but not speaking to you. you keep looking for his head of curly hair everywhere you go, but the inevitable disappointment strikes you every time it isn't him.
although you had been trying to deny it, the truth was that you missed leo terribly. despite his occasional obnoxious flirtations, he was actually quite easy to be around â even more than that, even. maybe you had developed feelings for him that ran much deeper than you ever anticipated. you've been grappling with your emotions for quite some time now, and you were certain that your mask of indifference had already slipped off without your knowledge. you slumped against the wall you were leaning on, feeling the weight of your emotions.
if leo were here, he would have moved you to somewhere you could sit more comfortably, instead of a damn wall. if leo were here, he would have taken your tote bag off your shoulder already, making sure you were not burdened with anything. the absence of his presence now makes you realize just how much he meant to you and how much you miss him.
you pushed yourself off the wall you were leaning against, making your way back to your cabin to sulk, when it happened.
you spotted leo approaching you. his strides were large and purposeful, and you could practically see the determination in his eyes. you could tell he had just emerged from the workshop, his face smeared with soot, but that didn't seem to bother him at all. before you could even react, he had his arms on your shoulders, shaking his head as he gasped for breath, clearly winded from whatever he had been up to. "i've been looking for you everywhere," he said urgently, not giving you a chance to respond.
"okay, look. you know i like you, y/n. you're not like anyone else i've ever met. you're kind, and smart, and funny, and beautiful. and i know that sounds like a lot of flattery, but it's true. i don't think i've ever met anyone who makes me feel the way you do. you make me feel alive, and happy, and.. stuff. and i don't wanna lose that. don't wanna lose you."
he took a deep breath, then continued, "i'm not going to pretend that it was always you, because i've liked other girls before, when i didn't really know what liking someone meant. what i felt for them is not even comparable to what i feel for you right now. it hasn't always been you, but from now on it will."
"i can tell you feel the same way too, even if you try to hide it. you always have a little grin on your face when i come around, and i know you still keep all the things i made for you in your cabin, even though you act like you don't care. but i get it, you're scared. that's okay. i'll prove to you that there's nothing to be afraid of. i'll be devoted and take on more responsibility, because you inspire me to try harder. if you could just give me one chance."
he took a couple steps closer, reaching for your hand, and intertwining his fingers with yours when you didn't pull away. looking deeply into your eyes, he adjusted his grip, his crooked grin indicating that he had rehearsed what he was about to say.
"i guess what i'm trying to say is..." he trailed off, and then pulled out a metal rose from his pocket, just like the one he had given you when he first asked you out. however, this one was special, its intricate patterns reflecting everything that reminded him of you.
"wanna be my girlfriend?" he asked, just like he had all those months ago.
you didn't even hesitate, you just pulled him in by the fabric of his shirt and slotted his lips with yours into a long-awaited, giddy kiss.

nsfw
as someone that expresses her love mostly through physical touch being intimate isn't essential or the center of your relationship, but it's important to her
she likes to make the best of these moments whether they are planned, spontaneous, rushed, soft and slow or fast and rough she will make you feel special, loved, desired, wanted and even worshiped
sana is a passionate, skilled and generous lover
that dangerous mix of cuteness and sexiness is also present in the room she might blush, giggle and cover her face and the next second she's whispering the filthiest things that she wants you to do to her in your ear
when you call her "princess" something just clicks in her brain
she is pretty much a switch in every sense of the word she enjoys bottoming, topping, being in charge and letting you have control
she's possessive, so of course she likes to mark you up and leave hickeys and bites all over your neck and other hidden places. luckily they're subtle enough so they can only be noticed if someone gets a litter too close
sana is usually so touchy that it is hard to tell apart when she is being her usual needy self and when she is just being a brat and is teasing you
casual touches on your thighs, kisses too close to the mouth, glances that undress you, praises that get a little too suggestiveâŠ
she's a tease, she likes attention and also praising, so sending you pictures of her cute outfits is not the only thing she does. when you're at work or out with coworkers or friend it's likely that you'll receive pictures of sana in underwear or lingerie if she feels like behaving because if she isn't she will be completely naked doing ungodly poses
she's a kinky girl, open to try new things and isn't shy about it, in fact she has made a few great suggestions that now are part of your routine
her main kinks are praising, degradation, bondage and orgasm control
she loves mix of praising and degradation "you're such a good slut for me, aren't you?" "taking me so well like the little whore you are" "my pretty slut"
she loves when you use the strap on her and she has recently started wearing the strap as well and you can't choose if she is better at giving or receiving
when you're using the strap she loves to do this thing . you lay on your back, she gets between your legs and her hand starts teasing you with strokes on your inner thighs, then she slides a finger between your folds and as soon as she feels your wetness she wraps her lips around the tip of the strap locking her eyes with yours if you're strong enough to look at her
she loves teasing but she hates being teased
if you tease her in an inappropriate place or at an inappropriate time when she can't do anything about it when you finally get home she'll make you sit in a chair in front of the bed and will make you watch while she touches herself
when this happens there are clear rules: 1. you canât touch her 2. you canât touch yourself
she is very vocal. she tells you what she wants, where to touch her and how to do it but she also moans without restraining herself and always lets you know how close she is and how good it feels
aftercare is just a long intimate session of cuddles and kisses

Hello librarian :0!
could I request a fic please, Iâm sorry but if you have other stories going on or simply donât have time, donât want too then ignore mine completely :),
could you please write a small fic about the times where reader gets easily startled from ghost cause of his silent demeanor.
As someone who gets mini heart attacks daily cause of how easily startled I am, I would love to see you write a fic about it in your own way
I appreciate every fic you write, I seriously am Inlove w ur work. Such a talented creature you are, we must put you ina cage and protect you.

A/N: Put me in a cage?! Thatâs a little extreme, donât you think, nonny? Anyway, here you go! đ«

The lieutenant ignores your reactions at first. After all, thereâs work to be done, and he wants to get straight to the point.
Itâs when you begin to instinctively clutch your chest with your hand or accidentally flip that glass of water upon seeing him in your peripheral vision that he starts to grasp how startled you get.
âYou look like youâve seen a ghostâ he jokes, âshould I call Ghostbusters?â
You roll your eyes in response, grasping your neck and trying to catch your breath.
âPlease donât do that to me.â You beg.
He furrows his eyebrows and tilts his head to the side.
âDo what?â He asks.
âCreep up behind me like that,â you explain. âYou scare me.â
Heâs studying you, scanning you from head to toe and up again. Heâs not doing it intentionally; thatâs how he was trainedâto move silently and stay invisible. That, or itâs a habit he picked up from childhood when he had to make as little noise as possible and appear small to avoid his fatherâs anger.
He keeps his thoughts to himself and shrugs instead.
âCould you at least give me a little heads up before approaching?â You suggest.
He keeps staring at you, and you brace yourself for a snarky reply. But instead of that, he surprises you.
âAlright,â he agrees, âbut donât expect a royal announcement; Iâm not your fucking servant.â
Over the next few days, you notice a change in his behaviour. He walks a little heavier around you, occasionally clearing his throat, snapping his fingers, or pretending to murmur a song before revealing himself. Subtle and gentle warnings slowly replace the stealth attacks you used to experience, and you appreciate his effort to be more considerate.
You express your gratitude, thanking him for being mindful of your feelings. However, true to his nature, the lieutenant plays it off.
âIâm not doing anything different from before.â He retorts.
Instead of pushing the matter further, you let it go. Heâs genuinely trying to accommodate you, and thereâs no need to get his defences back up again. At least now, you no longer get those mini-heart attacks or accidentally spill water because of his raids that used to catch you by surprise.

Hey, how was your day/night?
i was wondering if I could request a Gyutaro x male reader, please.
Like sfw and nsfw headcanons(if your ok with nsfw), or maybe like a nsfw story about the reader wanting to go on him, and him being embarrassed about his looks and we tell him that his beautiful and all that stuff? Thanks for reading this!
Gyutaro x Male! Reader Headcanons
Warnings: sfw and nsfw content, slightly abusive behaviors, mentions of blood. There are headcanons for ftm people, nsfw is below keep reading!
â Your relationship would not be easy, at least in the beginning. He is a reserved guy and loves to scare people, so be prepared for subtle threats.
â Now if you were an oni and especially an upper moon, things would change quite a lot. He wouldn't respect you at all at first, like a spoiled brat. But after the relationship, he would be more clingy. Not on an extreme level, but he would respect you and constantly give you compliments.
â And speaking of compliments, Gyutaro loves them. "You're such a handsome man... So strong... I can't believe you're with a guy like me..." And if you were a human, he would still continue to give you compliments, albeit with some insults. "You are so fragile, my love... Such a pathetic human but so beautiful..."
â Daki doesn't really like you at first. She hates men and the only one she allows to be by her side is her older brother. Gyutaro really wanted you guys to get along, but he would never pressure his sister to accept you, so he just prefers you stay away from her. Nothing would change if you were a upper moon, the only difference is that Daki wouldn't tell you to your face that she despises you.
â But over time, she would learn to deal with you. And after a long time, you would have a healthy relationship as far as possible. Gyutaro loves this and doesn't want to hide it.
â Gyutaro doesn't know how to express his feelings. Everything he feels is too overwhelming for him. So, he wouldn't say "I love you", he would scratch your skin while enjoying the blood flowing with a smile on his face. He wouldn't do that in your face, so as not to ruin your beauty.
â If you were a human, he would bring you food and some bandages as an "apology", since he knows you are fragile and those cuts were deep. Now, if you were an oni, prepare to receive a million bodies of your favorite humans. Do you prefer to eat men? Here it is, the best ones for you. This isn't an apology for scratching your skin, since he knows you weren't hurt. It's another way to show affection.
â He would often ask Daki's opinion in dealing with you since he has never dated and has no experience with men. The problem is that Daki's experiences weren't exactly romantic, which would lead to slight embarrassment.
NSFW
â I don't see Gyutaro as a restricted dom/top, or restricted sub/bottom. If you were top, he wouldn't mind being the passive one. He's just very inexperienced, and would trust whatever you say is best.
â He loves praise and reassurance, even during sex. If he was the bottom, I'd love to hear your voice telling you how beautiful he looks writhing in pleasure beneath you, or how cute he looks while riding you. And if he was the top one, he would definitely whisper in your ear how beautiful you are, and how warm and comfortable your body is for him.
â His favorite positions are the ones where he can look straight into your face and the ones where he doesn't have to move as much. Although, when he is the top one, he hates anything slow.
â He cries with pleasure when he is the passive one. It's simply a lot to deal with. He would grab the sheets and ask you to stop (spoiler: don't stop, he wants you to be even more aggressive).
â Punishments? He hates it. The worst are the ones where he can't look at you. So blindfolds and positions where his face is against you drive him crazy. On the other hand, when he becomes more experienced at it, he loves to punish you. He hurts you a lot in these punishments, even too much. If you are a human, you better not make any mistakes.
â If you are ftm/afab, I wouldn't change anything. He would still love you and have no problem with sex. If you were the top/dom one, he probably wouldn't be able to take a bounce before asking for a break. If you were the bottom, he would make a point of going as deep into your cunt as possible, and would always tease you with it. Of course, at first he didn't even know he could go that deep without hurting you.
â He has no idea what "aftercare" is. Explain to him and one of two things: either he'll think it's a waste of time because he's an oni, or he'll get the best beginner aftercare of all. If you were a human, regardless of whether you are bottom or top, he would take care of you afterwards, even in his own way. If you were an oni, he would be the one who would have to do the aftercare. Not because he needs it, but maybe, and just maybe... Because he likes to be taken care of by you.
Author's note (my notes :P)!
I hope you liked it, and that it turned out the way you wanted!
I don't post nsfw here, but I decided to break the rule and make an exception for you âȘâ ââ |â â”â |â ââ âȘ
